Barrettsark, just my 2 cents, but I think the dr. could offer you more cytomel. The t3 is the active form of the thyroid hormone, and a higher amount (considering your 2 month deficiency) would not likely pose any problem to your heart, which is what drs. get nervous about when you get the t3. Taking both is good, because you are slowly building your t4 stores while your body uses the t3 today. Ask the dr. if you can take more cytomel and maybe less synthroid, at least til things get back to regular! Be sure to mention how miserable you've been feeling.
