Default Can't tolerate potatoes anymore.

Hey girls, anyone ever have this happen. I have used the sugar busters plan for 2-3 years now. I really like the whole gain philosophy for general health reasons along with the low glycemic
values too. I have one cheat day on the weekend. I love potatoes so I have them then. In the last 6 mts. or so I started to get the feeling that the potatoes were upsetting my stomach ( terrible gas and bloating) Now mind you, for a major part of my life I lived on a lot of potatoes with no problems. I wasn't sure becasue on cheat day I eat other things too and I have a history of food sensitivities. Anyway, today I am 6 days without potatoes . I skipped them this past weekend. My stomach feels downright normal now. I am shocked. Has this kind of thing happened to anyone else. Can you develop an intolerance to foods you used to eat often??

Actually you can develope and intolerance to foods at anytime. Take for instance eggs, the more you eat (beans as well) your body gets used to them and supposedly you will have less gas. Well, I tried it and it worked. However, more recently I have stopped eating so much beans and eggs and I am back to the way I was before, with tummy aches and gas. Broccoli used to be great to eat, loved it best raw. Same with cabbage. Now days I have to cook the broccoli and cabbage or I have big problems. I have the same problem with cucumbers. I have to either seed the regular ones or eat only the english ones. As your body changes you can either become more tolerant to things you weren't before or less tolerant. Also, potatoes have a lot of starch, some more than others. I like the less starchy ones, they seam to be less of a problem for me. Baking potatoes or russets are the worst of the bunch.
