Default Can a thyroid function blood test be negative.....

...and yet you have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism?

Tried looking on net for article, but no luck. Anyone shed any light on this?

hello,

I'm new to this forum. Around 1996 I was dxd with PCOS. The endo that I was seeing did all the thyroid test and they all showed normal levels. She was willing to try me on sythroid since I had all the symtoms of hypothroidism. After taking sythroid my levels were still normal and this was the only time during my life I was able to lose weight. Unfortunatly, I stopped seeing her and some other doctor took me off the sythroid and now I weigh more than I ever have. I trying to find another endo in Louisiana that will listen and help me the way she did.
