Can We "Block" Certain Forums When Looking at "New Posts"?
I'd really like that feature, if it doesn't exist, or if it does, could someone tell me how to do it? For example, I'd like to block all posts in the TTC/Pregnancy/Mommy forums as it's just like rubbing salt in a wound everytime I go there -- not to mention that I don't feel welcome in even the TTC board as I'm not TTC yet -- apparently it isn't okay to just want to learn about TTC so when we finally start it will be better for us.
So yeah, any way to do this?

Kati - I understand that this was a question for Kat, but I just wanted to say that I am sorry that you don't feel welcomed on the TTC board. Some of the threads that I frequent welcomes everyone.

Thanks! I think a lot of people just don't understand where I am coming from -- DH and I both grew up quite poor and don't really want our children to go through that. So we are waiting until we are in a better position financially. A lot of people keep saying that if we wait until we can afford kids we'll never have them. While I understand that we will never be able to totally plan for everything and that we shouldn't wait too long, I don't think it's wise to TTC when we can barely pay the bills as it is. And I guess being around those boards is hard enough as it is anyway, without feeling like everyone thinks my idea of waiting is stupid.

Tariana can I just say that waiting to ttc is a smart decision. I waited a bit for physical reasons but I think that waiting until you can afford ttc and a baby is not only smart but responsible so yay for you

Well, you're no longer TTC because you're pregnant, so that's not quite the same thing, but thanks. I just mostly don't want to be there because it is rather painful to be around everyone who's so far ahead of me. I guess I can just try to skip posts from those forums I don't belong in.

Well, you're darn near the only one that thinks so. It's very hard to wait and I'm definitely NOT a patient person, so that makes it worse, I think. Besides, I don't think DH feels anywhere near the urgency I do -- he's a couple years younger than me and just a lot more patient by nature, plus I don't think he totally understands just how hard it's likely to be with PCOS. Plus he doesn't understand that my bio clock has started up BIG TIME recently. My mom thinks I'm stupid to want to TTC this soon because we haven't been married very long and she didn't get around to having me until she was 32 and there is NO WAY I want to wait that long. My best friend is married but doesn't want children at all ever that I know of. And I don't have any other close friends that are in my situation. And everyone on here seems to be TTC whether they can afford it or not (that's their decision, not saying it's wrong, but they don't understand where I'm coming from wanting to wait). So basically I have NO ONE to talk to about it. At least no one that wants to listen and who understands.
And sorry I just wrote a book. I know you didn't need to hear my life story, but thanks for replying anyway. I appreciate it.

I'm in the middle of a cross-country move, and don't have access to my computer to find the code that allows you to block forums. (you have to do it manually)

yes i am pg but if you know i am pg you would have noticed that i have lost many babies & spent many many months on pupo not trying to get pregnanct at all.. Infact i was on there losing weight & such they support everyone we have mummies ttc & just ppl hanging with us for support with life... Anywasy your decision but i just wanted to let you know that everyone is welcome.
