Question Can we ever completely get rid of all this stuff?

I know there a lot of different treatments for our skin problems, and everything works differently on everybody.

I have to deal with this stuff on my face, back, and arms. I have noticed improvements. Things are definitly better then they used to be.

Has anyone ever been able to completely get rid of all of this though?

Is this goal even achievable?

I am 43 now and since about 25 or so I have had to have some type of medical care that includes acne care. I thought I would outgrow it but apparently not. I can and you can however keep things well under control. Stay with a good derm or a good doctor and you will do ok.

You cannot be in the presence of a profoundly vaccine damaged child and not know that child could be your own. And you cannot try to comfort a mother who has just buried a baby who has died from a vaccine or a disease and not know that you could be the one standing over the grave. When it happens to your child, the risks are 100 percent.

Default Rosemary Soap

I was having horrible problems with acne since December and a lady at work mentioned Rosemary Soap. I went to the local Soap Bar and for $4 bought a bar of this stuff. The guy explained it is a natural acne fighter. It doesn't smell the worst either. He said to use it morning and evening time. Well I did this and my acne improved and dried within a week. It is guaranteed to work within 2 weeks or your money back.

Default accutane!

HIya, I was on accutane (80mg) for about a year! and 3 months after not taking it I've been clear! Wow! only just get a few spots before my period. But my life is so different now! I no longer have to spend hours in front of the mirror with my concealer!

Take care, if you have any more questions feel free to get in touch!

Love Rachel

Thanks for all your help cysters!

Angela72181 - I'll definitly have to check out that Rosemary Soap. I looked around online and I noticed there are a lot of different brands. Is there a particular store or brand that sells the one that helped you out?

I've only been using the purpose bar soap since I started going to the dermatologist. I realy need to get in the habit of washing my face before I go to bed too. I'm sure that would help some.

racheluk - That's so cool that you're still clear even after stopping the med. Hopefully things will stay that way.

Just ot let ya'll know I had been on minocycline and Retin A for a few months. I also started using different soaps that my dermatologist prescribed. I have noticed a big improvement, but I'd like to be free from all this stuff some day.

I started taking the minocycline around August. I was diagnosed with PCOS in early October and started taking metformin. I didn't really see any results with my acne until a few weeks after starting the metformin, so I figured that was what was helping things out, since acne is caused by pcos.

It's been hard convincing my dermatologist and family doctor that this stuff is probably due to the pcos. I guess they're still underinformed about it.

I stopped taking the Retin A a few months sgo since we were going to start ttc. I stayed on the minocycline until about a month ago, I had been on it for about half a year.

I didn't know which med was really hepling things out so I thought I'd experiment. I stopped taking the minocycline and things seemed about the same, my back may have a couple more spots than before but it was only a tad worse. Hardly enought to notice.

I asked my family doctor about it and he told me that the minocycline takes 3 to 6 months to work. I wish my dermatologist had mentioned that.

He said that since I'm off of it and we're ttc that I might as well stay off of it for now, since I'll have to quit when I get pg anyway.

We'll see how things go. There isn't really anything you can use while pg or ttc, so I guess I'll have to wait before I can start trying different meds again. Hopefully all this stuff is from the pcos and the glucophage will fix things eventually.

I bought mine at the local soap bar in the Erie Street Market here in Toledo. He just said it was natural rosemary soap. I don't know if they are online anywhere or not. I will have to look into that and let you know later. I was amazed at the resuts and I am sure you would be too. I have never been to a Dr's office for any perscriptions for acne but I am sure this soap is the least expensive and better for the skin since it is natural.

Thumbs up Desert Essence Thouroughly Clean face wash

After loving Desert Essence pure tea tree oil for spot hitting for acne, I tried their thouroughly clean face wash and love it! It's not too expensive at $8.95 or so a bottle, and works soooo well! I use it every night and didn't even get my period breakout this month!

Well, I have some good news for you! When I was pregnant and nursing my DS, I had amazing skin. It was smooth and zit free for the first time since puberty.

I felt the same way, I'll grow out of it. But when I realized about the PCOS, I realized i wouldn't. I tried all those medications in my teens and none of them worked. I can't remember the name of it, might've been the accutane, it worked but caused horrible side effects (constant yeast infection).

Since I've been on met it has gotten slightly better.
