I was just reading an old post in the Trying to Conceive forum and there appear to be lots of women with pcos using ovulation predictor tests. I just went to Superdrug to buy some, and found that both First Response and Clearblue tests say that they aren't suitable for women with pcos. The (cheaper) Superdrug one however, doesn't mention it.
Does anyone know if they work? My cycle length is roughly 38-40 days and a day-21 progesterone test I had done a year ago did suggest that I had ovulated, so do you think they might be ok for me to try them? I just don't wanna waste my money cos they aren't cheap.
It's all very confusing. I'm posting this on the uk forum since the ladies are mainly american in the ttc one and wouldn't be familiar with Superdrug.
It varies from woman to woman whether it works. Some women get false positive throughout their cycle. You will have to add up all your signs along with the OPK to see if they work. If you take your temp every morning you will be able to verify whether the OPK predicted your O.
If you don't know if they work for you I would recommend getting strips from the internet. They are MUCH cheaper.
Good luck.

Thanks guys. Hmm, it sounds like they probably wouldn't work for me. I used a Persona monitor for 3 months and consistently got red lights throughout most of the cycle (meaning you should abstain from sex if you don't want to get preggers).
I use the FAM method so maybe i'll stick with temping and checking cm
