I was diagnosed with Stage I endo via Laprascopic surgery. I honestly didn't have any pain that can really be explained by having endo. I have mild type of pain that feels more like pressure on my hip on my left side when I ovulate out of that side and just at "O" time.
Hopefully you'll get some more useful answers, good luck!
When I first get off of BCP - I only have pain during my period & when I ovulate. Then as my periods get closer and closer together, the pain is more frequent. If I go long enough w/o any treatment, then I'll bleed non stop and be in pain non stop. My worst pain is def during my period. I usually spend a day or two during my period in the bathtub and bed due to it.
I hope you get some answers soon.

Mine is intermittent but I feel it at some level every day. I haven't really noticed a time when it's worse in my cycle, but it's very hard for me to find patterns since my cycle is crazy anyway. It feels like low-level pinching almost on one or both sides of my pelvis (ovary territory) and sometimes through to my cheeks. Before my lap I also had aching pain running down the front of my right thigh, but that's gotten better. Since I'm also TTC, painkillers aren't really an option anymore, not that they help all that much. (I'm in a ranting mood, can you tell?)

My endo pain feels like I am being raped by a butcher knife. It feels like a stabbing pain. In the week before my period, it is excruciating to urinate or have a bowel movement.

I don't have a confirmed case yet, but I highly suspect endo. My pain is one degree or another throughout my whole cycle. The worst of my pain starts the week after my period, and escalates, before it starts to dwindle off and start up again at ovulation. I also think I have the colorectal type which can mimic IBS, and causes rectal pain/bleeding.

I have had endo for almost 10 years now and from my experience it is consistent all throughout the month for me. Cramps on and off and its gets horrible when I get my pd. I have had 2 surgeries and plenty of meds and I don't think any of it really made it completely go away. Its just something that I have gotten use to. I also just found out I have PCOS so I think it also contributes.
I went to the doctor today .He order a ultrasound for a mass he felt on my right side to large to tell if it was my ovary or my bladder .He thinks I also have endo and because I"m done have kid he would like me to get a hysterectomy and have my bladder tack back up just get everthing done at once .I have no idea how I feel about any of this .

If I have a hysterectomy, will that make my endometriosis go away?A hysterectomy is not the cure for endometriosis, but it can make a difference for some women. Discuss all of your options with your doctor before choosing to have a hysterectomy.
The problem w/ Endo is that it can grow on ovaries, uterus, fallopian tubes, bladder, intestines, etc. You could have a hyst and then still be in pain, unless it is all cleaned out.
Good luck on your decision. Let us know how the u/s goes.

I would not have a hysterectomy unless it was an absolute last resort, and my pain was so bad that I wouldn't be able to function without pain killers on a regular basis. I just think with pcos, and the added stress on hormones, etc., it would really have to be worth it...

Check the Endometriosis Assn online. They also have a great book - Endometriosis 2nd Edition. I read it in one day - it was that great.

I also agree with the "stabbing" sensation... and the NSAIDs dont seem to do ANYTHING for that pain...
For my Endo, I have some pressure like pain during intervourse. During my Period, I have INTENSE pain, for my either on my right side (which I know I have a node there) near my appendix, and shooting straight down the middle. Pretty intense and completely debilitating. I also get lowerback pain that sometimes shoots into my right leg. I tend to get anemia from the blood flow, and get very weak. When I am not having my period, I get sharp pains from standing up a certain way, or stepping a certain way.
Id rate the pain between a 9-10, somtimes blacking out.
Although its kinda funny, I was diagnosed with a mild case of endo, but in the endo world, that doesnt really matter. Hope this helps.
