I wouldnt put the pasta in the crock pot, it makes it gummy. But you can if you are in the last hours of your crock pot cooking, say for soup. If I was cooking veggie and beef soup and wanted to add penne, I would wait until 2 hours for the end and turn it on high it would prob be ok,,, we do the same for rice in crockpot, we wait for the end of cooking time, or you can just cook it on stove top, its quicker, and when they are done and your crock is done, dump the noodles in the crock.

no fish broth soup for me and I dont even think that sounds tasty :x

I like fish, but not overpowering the whole dish, I like to eat fish as an individual dish with other sides, I am thinking the broth would consume the flavor of fish.

Another easy crock recipe that works wonders and only has 2 steps:

Frozen chicken breasts
Campbells cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken if you like, or cream of broccoli, family size can.

Water enough to cover over the top and thin out the soup.

On high, and after about 6 hours or longer if you want it to fall to pieces, yum yum.

Served over rice or potatoes or something.

You dont even have to thaw the chicken and it could be different cuts of the chicken not just the breast.

depending on the size you want, no really good ones out there, crocks are so affordable and dependable that even a cheap one at walmart would work. Average size is about 10 dollars larger ones can run to 30 or more. I like the ones with the removable inserts so it can be cleaned easy, you dont actually have to clean the bottom piece unless dripping get on it. Easy to use, start in the am before you leave for work and by the time you get home, your whole house is full of good smells.

Fav recipe

Pot Roast that I make slits in and stuff spreadable garlic and onions in, season it with salt and pepper on both sides, chooped onions on top, load carrots and potatoes on top, fill water to top of veggies, dont overfill, you need to make sure the lid is on good, youll have a pot roast so moist it will be falling to pieces and the veggies will be amazing, the jiuce inside will be good enough to drink, but I like to thicken it up a bit to make a gravy.
