Hi ladies,

I'm wondering if you can help me. I've been doing acupucture for the passed two weeks which has been very relaxing. My acupucturist has advise me to take some chinese herb pills which will help me ttc and has advise me that it will be okay to take it with Metformin. I just wondering if there any of you ladies out there that taking chinese herbs and metformin at the same time ??

I started to take the chinese herbs yesterday and this morning and to be honest I've already notice a very slight change in my discharge colour (sorry if its TMI) just wondering if its a good idea to take the two together??

Chinese pills -nuan gong yun zi wan since - JAN 08/stop in Feb08 - to expensive
Acupunture/cupping once week - JAN 08/stop in Feb08 - to expensive
Hsg- October 07 - one blockage left and no spillage on the right.

Hi Selina,

You should be fine. Most chinese herbs are ok with met, and if your acu has experience with IF, I'm sure s/he knows about metformin. I take Sang Ji Sheng, a Yin & Qi formula (eight flavor rhemannia & various Qi formulas). If anything, the chinese herbs help me with some of the unusual s/e's I've had from met.
