 canadian foster to adopt???
i was wondering if there are any ladies out there who have gone through foster to adopt in canada ? what were your experiences/challenges ? i plan to take the full 8.5 month parental leave with the child, and would like to know if this can be done once the child is placed with you, or once the placement becomes an adoption placement?
how were your experiences with the social worker? were you informed of the childs social/physical history? at what point did you get that information? did the offer a few children to choose from? (how could anyone choose?)what was the legnth of time from approval to placement? how often did the social worker visit?
