Cindy,
Those test results look great but they may not be enough. Are you experiencing any other hypo symptoms besides inability to lose weight? If so, you might want your doc to run a Free T3 test and a thyroid antibodies test. TSH and T4 can test in normal ranges even if you have a thyroid problem. You need to find out if your body is converting T4 to T3 effectively. If T3 is low, you may have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, which is an autoimmune disease of the thyroid gland. This is found in many women with pcos.
Also, other conditions can mimic hypothyroid. For instance, low ferritin levels or low estradiol. Certain medications can result in metabolic resistance as well. I thought I had a thyroid problem because my body temps were running very low and my weight loss stalled for a long time. My tests all came out ok, but I found out that a blood pressure medication I was taking actually worsens insulin resistance and increases blood glucose levels. I went off of it about two weeks ago (started a different med instead) and now my body temps are closer to normal and I am losing weight again.
