I get brain fog, inability to concentrate and remember anything, feeling overwhelmed, a bit depressed, lacking in energy and sleepy.......... either just before TOM or if I eat too many carbs on a regular basis.
Even if I follow a diet which works for weight loss if it has too many carbs I problems with "the fog". When I reduce carbs I become sharp, regain my vitality and feel in a much better mood and find the energy I need to get through the day again.
