Hey all. I know we're supposed to be good healthy eating cysters, but carbs are just too yummy to give up (I could live on bread and water. Seriously, send me to jail). I make sure I eat whole grains and low sugar ones, but sometimes I overeat just to make myself feel full. Then afterwards, it's like my brain just slows down. I get lethargic, like IR does, but I also feel like I'm unable to think clearly, I can't phrase things properly, I can't explain a thing without grasping for words or not finding them at all. It makes me feel incredibly dumb. Do you guys feel fuzzy headed after eating too many carbs or is it possibly something else that's making me about as articulate as an ape?
puffnstuff- that's interesting. I've been having an awful time with this kind of fuzzy feeling for about a year and a half now - about the time I stopped taking Met because I developed IBS. I figured it was because of my IBS drugs, but maybe it's because I went off Met. Hmmmmm. I'm going to try and be more diligent with my cinnamon and see if that helps, because I really really really don't want to go back on Met.
Megala - I posted this question a couple months ago because I feel like this has been happening to me more and more lately and it's driving me crazy. A couple cysters said that it happened to them when they ate too many carbs. I think it gets a lot better for me when I exercise regularly and make sure to stay hydrated, too.

I know when I get away from my diet and eat crappy foods, I feel dizzy and have more vertigo.
Carbs from veggies or whole grains do not have this effect on me.
