CAS (Childrens Aid Society) is coming into our home today to do our homestudy for domestic adoption locally (its free) !
I of course dont do anything well unless its under pressure so I have volunteered to take my gram to the bank and for some groceries and then we are going to McDonalds for lunch with friends at 11:30 then my DH comes home at 1:00 and the lady from CAS comes at 2:00 ! LOL Its 9:13 now and I havent even showered
This should be a good day LOL !
Then tomorrow its back to work *sigh* I need to have someone pay me to stay home ....
Take Care,
Amy

Yahoo!! That's awesome that you're getting your home study done! Of course, I'm totally with you about being under pressure. I always have to have a million things planned for the day we have something big going on....hope you get everything done and back home on time!
PS: I think it's sweet of you to take your gram out. I do the same for my grandma when I can--she lives 8 hours away and I don't get to see or do for her as often as I would like.

Everything went very well...some things were different than the international homestudy but the good news is it wont require as many visits with her becuz we already have a complete one done !
We are looking forward to being officially "waiting" again !
(ps I LOVE my gram and would do anything for her...it kills me to see her failing in health I am just glad that we can make her day a bit brighter with a coupla smiles from my son )

Congrats on being back on the adoption roller coaster Amy! What awesome news... I hope your wait is short. How long do they think it will take before you get "the call'? Are you requesting a boy or girl?

One question...did you have to have an entirely new homestudy done because you changed from international to domestic, or is it just an update?

Michelle - Its just an update so it was 2 meetings instead of however many they normally do
Lisa - I am not sure how long it will take to complete but if there becomes a child available they will consider us becuz we are still 'in the process' as far as I understand I wish we were already slotted for a child ! what an amazing experience for you ! They wouldnt commit though to a time, they said it could be a week it could be 10 years just depends on the availability
Yay !
