Stacie, my heart goes out to you! I went to school to work with children with special needs....But very early on felt it was a discouraging position to be in. There are way to may politics involved in the school systems. And its just broke my heart to deal with one of two situations either the children couldn't receive the services that they needed at school and/or they didn't get the support they needed at home. Your children are very lucky to have you advocating for them! Don't give up! You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers!
Hope all is well with everyone! I will keep you all in my thoughts! Good night!

Carrie, I have been a bit depressed, but it only stays a bit and then is gone. I repeat the cycle pretty often.
Stephanie, yes, my faith is what I was questioning. I think I get overwhelmed at times and want to throw in the towel. This is a struggle I have.
Does anyone else feel like you are giving a book report when you pray? Its not suppose to be this hard is it? Everytime I start to pray, I forget what I want to say. There are little prayers throught the day that I do OK with, but when its time for our "BIG" talk, I freeze. I do OK writing in journals. I might just have to pray that way. | Julie,
Don't worry about how well you pray. God already knows what we want even before we ask! The Catechism says that prayer is the lifting up of our hearts and minds to God. So God doesn't expect us to be "pro-prayers". He only expects us to lift up our hearts and minds to Him, and He'll take care of the rest (meaning, the Holy Spirit will intercede for you.)
God Bless,
Carrie

Tam hopefully you can get a break and go do something for yourself. Is there any grandparents involved to help watch the kids for the day. All moms need time for themselves, after taking tare of everyone else all day long. Unfortunately, Mother's days is only once a year, but I recomend it be once a month, lol!
Julie - I understand how you feel, i question my faith repeatedly. I never did until this past year. It hurts so much, but I find that it makes me stronger. Please feel free to speak more about it, it will be better for all of us to strengthen our faith with you.

Is anyone else terrified & frustrated at what is going on with the Pope right now? IMO, it is quite ironic that they responded with violence. The whole thing is totally ridiculous. I heard last night that they declared Jihad(sp?) on all "cross worshipers" ~ that means me & you! What I haven't heard is what happened after 9/11 ~ a big effort to clarify that it is only a radical sect of Islam that supports this kind of violence. I pray to God that is still the case this time around. In a way I'm glad that I've graduated so I don't have to hear what my ignorant liberal professors have to say about it ~ but in another way wish I was there to defend my faith. I will be praying hard for the Pope... & his guardian angel!
Wow, that was pretty political of me! Hehe... no one messes with my Catholic faith! Have a great week, cysters!

My Mood: Points: 2,164.43 Bank: 327.02 Total Points: 2,491.45 | Jenny - the violence scares me too. Not only violence affecting catholics, but all the violence around the world. I pray for all people that are persecuted for their choice of religion. I pray one day everyone will be able to worship GOD peacefully. Till then my heart goes out to all catholics being affected by these newest acts of violence. I feel GOD is continously teaching us lessons, and I would have to say this one being we must be aware of others feelings and maybe to realize that we must all grow a thicker skin.

My Mood: Points: 5,837.08 Bank: 53,129.34 Total Points: 58,966.42 | Wow, there are a lot of things going on in the world I just don't know of! I will have to do some news reading......
As far as getting a day out...told DH yesterday he needed to find two days he could take off of work so I could 1) Stay home completely alone to organize my house, him take kids to visit someone, or 2) I will leave for those two days just to BE. Sometimes the chaos in my mind is more than the chaos of our unorganized home! We have been redoing our whole house for about 7years now and it still isn't done, so we have stuff everywhere - either regular house stuff or construction stuff. It wasn't bad when I just had one older child, but with babies it is a nightmare! I need a break from our "dream".
Grandparents are great for a few hours here and there, but DH's still work and are in the middle of their own remodel, and mine are a few years older and it wears them out for longer than that. I really need more than that - DH has stayed home while I have gone shopping for a few hours, got hair cuts, etc. But what I need are days so I can just quiet my mind and be in "quiet". I would be way too nervous to leave them with any of my sisters for that long! LOL
In the mean time I do try to get in "ME" time everyday - if I didn't do that much I would be a bigger mess for sure! Excercising and good diet are helping things, but working out takes away some of my energy as well. It just has become such a vicious cycle of fighting for that time that I need a little recharge. You know DH gets three weeks of paid vacation a year, where is mine? It will all be good, just feeling the pinch right now.
So, while I look up the Jihad situation can someone fill me in too? I don't have regular T.V. so don't watch the news and don't get a chance to look online at that too much. Most of the radio stations around here aren't informative that way, so unless DH brings home the news, I am in my own little world here. Just another reason to be saying our daily Rosary for world peace! :

They took what he said out of context, and now they are going around shooting at Catholic churches, even killing an Italian nun. Some say that the Holy Father's safety is at risk, so we must pray for his protection.
God Bless,
Carrie

My Mood: Points: 2,164.43 Bank: 327.02 Total Points: 2,491.45 | HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARRIE!!!!!!!!!!
I had my 30th birthday in July. It wasn't bad. When I turned 28, I thought well only 1 more year til the end of twenty's. When I turned 29, I thought only one year til I'm over that 30 mark. And when I turned 30, I thought well I'm still on the line, only one year til I'm officially in the 30's. So it seems every year I find an excuse that all is a.o.k. for this year. 30 is a great age, plus as you know we all improve with age.
I hope you have a great day!

I felt like my days of being young and beautiful were over and I hadn't had enough beautiful years. I still wish sometimes I could be 21 and know all that I know so I could have been healthier sooner. But I am finding that the older I get, the more serious people take me, and I am shown more respect. I think it works the other way too, I see things differently and I like that. 30's will be some of my greatest years!

I am saying a novena that the abortion does not happen and that because of this trial she will know faith. I started two days ago, I don't know when it is supposed to happen... Update on above topic...the sister isn't getting an abortion as she is miscarrying - still very sad. I will still be praying for them.

My heart goes out to all people that feel they have to make such a drastic decision. I pray that her and women like her receive the help and education needed to make better choices. Well I just read your eta.
My dh and I received great new last night. My bil and sil (they had a baby two weeks ago) asked us to be the Godparents to thier baby girl! We are so excited this will be our second this year (and are 4th all together). We are greatful for such a blessed opportunity. The baptism is in November so we have plenty of time.

Stephanie ~ Congrats on being a Godparent! What a gift & honor... you must be making a great impression on those around you. I know you have here!
Ladies, I have my own great news for the day! Check out what happened to me this morning...
I totally had a feeling yesterday & told DH I wanted to test this morning. He said wait at least until tomorrow but I defied him & snuck the test into the bathroom while he was pouring his cereal Well, then I had to confess because I saw that BFP! I was shaking & my heart was pounding so fast! I'm happy, terrified, anxious ~ every emotion. I don't even really believe it & probably won't until the doc confirms & even then...
I feel so blessed & really feel that this baby is a miracle! With PCOS I just feel so lucky & blessed to be able to conceive & I know there is no guarantee that we could do it again so I'm really cherishing this moment. Please pray for me that everything goes well!
Have a great day ladies ~ I'll be keeping you updated for sure!
