I guess I'm just used to it at this point!

Rachel | HUH?
I have been trying to change my mood more often because I was mad for days (has been known to happen actually). I am having an "all of the above" day - wish they had that option! Right now I am trying to post while DD is telling me she wants to go out and hold 'babies' (kitties). She is up at least two hours early today which means I didn't get my 'ME' time and not even a shower! At least she is old enough to be okay while I take a bath, was just hoping to go back to bed for a little while. We harvested pumpkins last night - DH and I were outside until almost midnight getting them all in our pickup for him to sell at work. We didn't even see the Great Pumpkin! Oh well, maybe next year. So anyway, I am just a little tired on top of getting up at 6am this morning to workout - to bed early tonight!
Just on here chatting, how is everyone else today? Has anyone seen anything of Jenny? I didn't remember her posting saying she would be away so kind of worried about her. Hoping everything is okay.

I've just been having a pretty terrible week. I'm sick with nausea everyday. Not enough to throw up but just enough that I don't want to eat a single thing. To make it worse, the past couple days I've got that metallic taste in my mouth so anything I do feel like eating tastes like pennies anyway! Argh! Plus, I am so super tired that some days all I do is sleep, wake up to eat some pennies , then sleep some more. The worst part is that right now it is really difficult to be 'happy' about this baby which makes me feel like a terrible mom already. I try to think about when the baby is finally here (esp looking forward to the Baptism!) but then I worry about PPD. Agh!
On top of the pg stuff, my medical bills are all screwed up b/c they coded my $1000 of PCOS blood tests under 'infertility treatment' so my insurance won't cover it. I've been trying to straighten it out but it is going so slow. A lady from the billing dept called yesterday & got real sassy with me about my bills... well, if they wouldn't have screwed it up they would have their money! I also took my car in for an estimate on some new tires & other repairs. We decided to just get the new tires for now cuz it's all we could afford but... oops... they didn't listen & did all the repairs!!! DH tried to level with them & made some headway but has to call again today to try to get our money back. To top it off, my bridezilla friend is freaking out about her wedding (which I'm in) b/c my dress is too small (not my fault)... plus, I can't find shoes to her 'specifications' that I can actually walk on, esp after breaking my leg earlier this year. Also, I'm so worried about my lil sis that it makes me want to cry.
Ok, so that was really a rant, but to sum up, I'm sick, exhausted & crabby & all I want to do is SLEEP!!! Thanks for listening ladies!
Carrie ~ Wish I could help, but I think I'd just stay home if it weren't for tampons... so, can't help you in the pad dept. I used to hate tampons too until I got the kind with the plastic applicator. Much better. GL!!

My Mood: Points: 6,299.39 Bank: 61,028.91 Total Points: 67,328.30 | Jenny ~ I am glad to hear you are okay, even with everything going on! I always worry about pg mommies, especially first timers. I get PPD after babies - it wasn't as bad with #2, I think I was just so happy about having her it took most of it away. Don't feel like a bad mom, it is hard to feel happy about being sick (I hate that metallic taste!). Once most of that passes you will enjoy it again. My pgs were always pretty textbook, so once I hit that second trimester I had tons of energy and felt great! I actually feel better pg than when I'm not. lol
Here I go again, wanting babies! LOL I would like to start actively trying this next summer I think. I really want my weight down to where I should be, it just would be so much easier on my body and mind. We'll see how it all happens. It may take me another 7yrs, so don't want to wait too long. Some of my AF stuff seems to be getting worse, so I dont' know how much longer I really have to try.
I will be keeping you and your sister in my prayers, hope things start looking up with her. Also your bills - that really sucks!!! I hate when those things happen, it isn't like we can just fork it out, UGH! Good luck with that. Take Care!

Liz ~ I have to admit I've never heard of the Elijah cup... what is it? Also, I love your siggy ~ any advice for me on a good baby sling?

I've tried both Always and Stayfree brands of the Maximum Protection for sizes 14+, and they just don't seem to work. I guess I'll have to try the tampon-pad combo (ugh!) Gee, as many trips as I make to Walgreen's (which is just a block away!), I know they must love me in there!
Have a blessed day, everyone!

I also heard it could be a sign of endometriosis--but I figured since it was similar to PCOS it could be a sign of that as well. Just wondering.

Jenny - great to see you back!! Check out peppermint.com for slings.
Liz - hey there! Happy to see you on this board!

My Mood: Points: 6,299.39 Bank: 61,028.91 Total Points: 67,328.30 | Carrie ~ I tend to have a lot of clotting on AF when it is really heavy which has been pretty much all year except a few months. It can be a sign of endometriosis, and not to scare you, but also fibroids. It it also something that evidently most PCOS'rs get since we are all talking about it (clotting I mean). I am sure we are probably more likely to get the other things as well since all of it has to do with hormones, and when your hormones are out of whack then anything is possible.
I am actually going to go back to OB and ask for some more testing, I think something else is going on besides the low progesterone, I am starting to feel a sort of pressure or slight cramping in that area and I just got over AF, so should be feeling great. fearing the worst, but hoping for miracles... I am also starting to feel tired instead of energized - despite staying up harvesting pumpkins till midnight I should not be this tired! I would look into it just to be on the safe side. There are fibroids on my mom's side, every woman, and they have all had to have hysterectomys for it, so I know it is just a matter of time before my number is up.
I have probably worried you for no reason, but I think it is good to get anything that just doesn't seem right checked out - better have it be nothing than wait. Hoping you have a better time with AF!
Kara ~ Tennis Ball?!?! The biggest I ever had was like ping pong maybe, yikes!!!

Another thing I wanted to mention to all the heavy AF/clotting cysters--HAVE YOUR THYROIDS CHECKED!!!!! Heavy AF with clots is a symptom (among other things) of thyroid trouble. We cysters are known for having thyroid issues and many of the symptoms overlap or contrast each other. Check out the thyroid forum here for more info. The ladies over there are AWESOME!!!
Jenny--I hear ya on the nasty nausea. I had it REALLY bad with my son. I felt HORRIBLE and then one day, it was gone. Truly bizarre! I hope that you're feeling better soon.

I probably should have it done again though along with all of the other levels, never know when something might change. I have had clotting like that most of my periods the last few years so not thinking it is related to that - I am going to check out that info. again though. Thanks for mentioning that, I didn't realize that was also a sign of thyroid problems.
