WTG on a normal period--I have it every 28 days but it varies from how long to how much.
*hugs*

I spent this afternoon in Labor and Delivery....I had had a rescheduled u/s apptmt today, and while I was waiting, my blood pressure (always on the low side of normal) dropped--it was in the 80s over the 50s, if that gives you any ideas....
It took over an hour to get it back up, and now not only am I on strict but modified bedrest, but the drs have told me no stairs...limited driving. And NO LONG MASSES (which means this weekend is out, altho I had had my doubts about going already, simply because of the bedrest time limits). Actually, it precludes anything but the daily masses. The things with this blood pressure thing, I could have it again all of a sudden. And I could fall, or pass out, or any number of very ugly scenarios. OR I could have absolutely no more problems whatsoever. Lovely.
But regardless of my "wonderful" afternoon, I was able to get a brief growth scan for the boys--they are now running a couple of days ahead...weighing in at (approx) 3#4oz, and 3#6oz. So far, so good. My weight is great (only) 197--12 lbs over my prepregnancy weight, my b/p is normally great, AND I passed my gestational disbetes test!!!! I got a 121, 140 is failing. So I'm well within the limits. YAY!!!!
Anyway, if ya'll can please pray for me? Come Monday, it'll be a month since I went to confession--I HATE THAT! I tried, one of the two weekends I made it to Mass in the last month, but for some reason, Fr just didn't get there in time, or something. I wasn't the only one waiting...sigh. Nothing mortal that I am aware of, but I would like to have my plate cleared, iykwim?
Hope ya'll are having a glorious end to the Lenten season.

Perhaps you can get your priest to come and give you the Sacraments, since you are not able to make it to Mass regularly. You definitely need the grace and strength you receive from the Sacraments during this difficult time. Jesus wants to make your burden lighter in this way.
I pray that everyone has a Blessed Easter!

But I sure didn't want to call THIS week, and this next week is going to be their "decompression" time....Triduum is such a stressful time for them...So I'll probably have to hit one of them up for a brief confession after a daily Mass this week. I'll definitely feel better for it. It'll have to be Monday, though, since DH is going back to work on Tuesday....

Sorry that I didn't post after my intro at all.
Rachel I will be praying for you and your twins. Do try the closer parish. I have a priest that I like to go to for confession that's quite a drive and I hadn't made it there so I went to my associate parish priest just before Easter and it was still so grace filled maybe even good to get a fresh outlook.
Monika and dear husband, Congrats on your joining the Church. I'm Catholic since birth but my dear husband joined the Church three years ago and I'm still thrilled. We had been married almost 18 yrs at that point.
Anne I'm so sorry for you and I can't imagine the pain you're going through. All I can say is you're in my prayers.
Brooke Congrats to you and your hubby. I see that you were on 1500mg of met. Do you have any ideas if that made the difference for you.
My update then I must go quickly. I'm lost 14lbs since January. I've just gotten my Met up to 1500 mg and we got all the testing done that the Fertilitycare/Creighton doctor wanted done so I go for follow-up in 2 weeks. We'll have to decide how much we want to TTC or decide to let it go. I'll be 41 in June so I feel like this needs to be the year. My 17yr old ( I have two daughters 17 and 19) has settled on Franciscan University in Steubenville for college. Expensive but a great place for her to be spiritually. She's a great girl goes to daily mass and monthly confession on her own. Really knows her faith so well and really smart. That's not only Mom talking even though we homeschool. She was named a National Merit Finalist and gave up full scholarships because she wanted a Catholic school. I've started delivering papers with my other daughter (she has special needs/epilepsy and can't work) to make some money for the tuition etc although we'll see if we continue because it's a lot of gas money and wear and tear on the car. We also working hard on the disability paperwork for my older daughter since she's done with school now.
Have a great week,
Becky |

Carrie ~ How wonderful that things are getting straightened out! I hope this means a turn around and it just keeps getting better. I will say some prayers for your brother, it is hard to watch someone stumble time and again.
Rachel ~ You know my prayers are with you.
Becky ~ WOO HOO! Great job on the weightloss! I hope God answers your prayers for another little one. Sometimes letting it go makes it happen. LOL That's what happened to me anyway.
Stacie ~ I am glad you are checking in! I hope things are well with all of you.
I hope everyone had a Blessed Easter! I wasn't able to attend midnight services but did make the early AM mass and barely snuck into confession. PHEW! The priest was a bit late, and there was a small line, so I think my constant prayers during that time allowed me the opportunity. Nothing like driving two hours to have the priest walk out before you get to confess. LOL

Yay!! Jesus Christ is Risen! Alleluia! Well, I feel like it's been forever and a day since I've posted. I hope all is well. I pray a Hail Mary for each intention you ladies have posted. A little of what's happening with me:
- Sister-in-law is pregnant - bittersweet feelings on that. She isn't in therapy even though she struggles w/depression and after first baby even attempted suicide (less than a year ago)
- I finished my very first BIG crochet project and it actually looks like a blanket.
- I'm almost done with all my student loans - only one more payment!!
- I have quite a few prospects from Catholic Match. I like Michael the best who lives in California. Charbel is a Maronite Catholic but lives pretty close by and is very active in pursuing me - asked for my digits right away and actually called. And Brian is interested in me, but me not so much in him... And there's this guy who looks really cute and sent me two smiley faces but hasn't emailed me so I bit the bullet and emailed him. I'm guessing he's pretty shy. And I got some 40yo Indian man mad at me b/c my email response to his inquiry was short and said I wasn't interested.
- I'm still the youth minister at my parish and we had a very short Easter break but my free time will soon be all chewed up again.
-Oh! My cousin asked me to be the godmother for her son who's due in July!! I'm pretty excited - I've never been a godmother before.
So that's what's going on. I'm excited to hear about all the Catholics returning home and I hope you all had a warmer Easter than I did!!
blessings,
Kara

I'm praying for you and those sweet lil guys--maybe a priest can come to you--always a suggestion...oops--sorry, see somebody already mentioned that...
Swingin' Cyster--yay for Catholic Match--hope you find long and lasting love there!
I spent Easter with Kyle at my Co-worker's place--had a small trip to the ER on friday afternoon so couldn't leave the vicinity and they were gracious enough to invite us out.

Julie ~ WELCOME!!! I am in the middle of avoiding at this point and so far, so good. LOL I use the Sympto-Thermal method and right now am using Fertility Friend online to track my cycles. If you are just looking for some things to do during the "avoidance". I would say lots of prayer, also find other ways you can be close such as reading together, or going to a movie (or watching one together at home), or other activities you are interested in. Doing nice things for each other during that time can help with any frustrations - if you are crafty, making a card for him might be nice, or even a special dinner. You can always bake cookies (sorry, had to say it - joke from some previous posts, LOL).
I hope that was of some help. I don't find it too aweful hard to avoid these days, it does start off hard, but once you get a kind of routine down it isn't bad at all, and you look forward to coming together again. All of those nice things you do can build up, iykwim.
Kara ~ Sounds like you have been busy!!! I am glad things are going well in the love dept. I hope you find the special one - don't overlook the shy guy. Keep us all posted! Congrats on becoming a Godmother!!! I was so shocked when my sister asked me, I had been thinking it would be do nice to be one and then they asked! Very exciting!
Well, not much going on here, just trying to get my prayer life back in shape - I was really good about saying a rosary while doing a 54 day novena, but then once that was over it was hard to pick it up again - I may need to start another novena. Hmmmmm. Hope everyone is having a great Easter week!
