Default PCOS mentionned on NIP/TUCK

PCOS was mentionned in Nip/Tuck, episode 7 of season 5...an overweight women gets into the office of the two surgeons as she is looking for her dad, then she as to respond to one of the surgeon remark as to her wieght and she answers..i believe if i got it right, since i am not a native speaker.. ' i have an ovarian condition'

that was it.....
i thought it was cool but at the same time..again it stigmatize women with PCOS as overweight..it can be the case indeed but i bet half of the cysters are of normal weight...and we know here that the wiegh is more due to the IR thing than the ovaries.
Also i noticed here in europe that most girl with PCOS do not have 'big' weight problem, and my endo also told me most of his PCOS girls arent overweight...well

I agree with everyone else thanks for sharing, I didn't know about those celebs. I always suspected Jennifer Lopez might have it as she was "supposedly" trying/wanting a baby for many years...

Default Celebs with PCOS

Hi everyone -
I've been dying to know about any celebs with this condition. But I'm more interested in who has the facial hair. I disagree about infertility being the worst thing about it. What could POSSIBLY be worse for a woman than having a beard and a mustache??!! But then, what famous woman would WANT to admit she has facial hair? If I were famous, I would die of embarrassment to have the whole world know.

Probably, and I'm sure that those that are constantly in the lime-light, have their personal chefs that help them with their food intake and such.

It kind of feels nice though to know that women with this condition, can still make it big and do some incredible things. Thanks for sharing!
