Wow this is really interesting. I guess its good if more celebs openly talk about PCOS. I didn't realise Kym Marsh suffered from it too.

Just like a lot of others have said, Im sure that there are a lot more women affected with PCOS in Hollywood. For the women that did speak up about it, Im glad that they did. It helps to show that not everyone with PCOS have the "typical" signs.
Julie was on Season 4 of the Biggest Loser and they talked about her having PCOS! I was so excited to hear it spoken about on TV! Check out juliehadden.com/pcos.html

Thanks for sharing. I wish more celebreties would speak about having PCOS to bring awareness. So many people--including many, many doctors are clueless about it.
Great Article... I wish that there were more celebs with this prob so that they could see the need for publicity on the issue, and also so that EVERYONE could see the need for educating not just those who have it, but the doctors who all too often diagnose us later in the disease, or not diagnose or recognize PCOS at all.

Posh...who would have thought?
I think what's most frustrating is PCOS is becoming an epidemic that so many people don't know about and the rest don't want to talk about. When I was diagnosed (in 2002) I had a terrible time finding any information on it at all, I was reading Harvard medical encyclopedias because that's all I could find. And to think there have to be so many teen girls (not to mention women) that are suffering silently, thinking something's wrong with them, and not knowing it's not their fault. I wish PCOS got more press, just so that those girls/women could reach out and find help, and their doctors would have to get informed...
Here's to hoping.
