Ironic isn't it? lol. I'm supposedly a 'thin cyster' yet right now I am feeling like a humungous beach whale washed up on the shore.I feel like such an insensitive b*tch posting this seeing as some ppl struggle a whole lot more with their weight than i do.I know that i've always had cellulite/fat/lard but today *to my absolute horror* i saw craters and craters of dimples on my thighs. I have a drink problem.I'm trying my best to limit my drinking cos i know its not helping.Basically any tips for getting rid of cellulite/fat before the summer? I just can't do low-carbing.i've tried. *well try harder then alanah lol*I guess this is just a rant sorry.

Well, I don't have any personal experience with cellulite products - such as those topical creams you can apply - but I have heard some of them can be quite helpful. In fact, I read quite a good article not long ago that described many of the different products on the market, and evaluated their effectivness. I tried to find that magazine so that I could give you some real advice, but guess I must have thrown it out! It was a diet/fitness/body-building type of magazine (my husband buys those to inspire me to keep working out!). You may want to see if you can pick up a similar magazine; I'm sure that cellulite products are a frequent topic, and popular as the summer months roll around. I've also read that keeping your water intake up helps with cellulite too.
Good luck! I know what you mean about feeling awful about complaining about your weight when so many others have so much more of a struggle. Let us know if you learn anything.
Best wishes
Lissa

it's quite costly but you could actually try a procedure called Endermology, which helps to flush the fat that causes cellulite out of the body, costs about $100 or more a session though
Excert taken from a WebMD conversation with Ann Louise Gittleman, author of The Fat Flush Plan:
"a study appearing in the Nov 19, 2001 issue of The Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry revealed cranberries may be one of the best health foods we can consume since they are the highest food source of antioxidants... Cranberries contain a particular antioxidant known as bioflavanoids, which support the integrity of connective tissues. Cellulite is a weakening of connective tissue."
She recommends drinking 1 oz unsweetened pure cranberry juice with 8 oz of filtered water.
I hate it for you but cellulite is largely genetic...I am of the opinion that the creams are a hoax. Toning excercises will help some (consider a personal trainer to help), but you may never be completely void of it w/o a surgical procedure.
But have you ever noticed how many women are at the beach with love handles, cellulite, etc? The only "perfect girls" are in the magazines and they are computer enhanced.
Please turn to us or someone for support if you need help with your drinking. Most people start drinking in order to self medicate undiagnosed depression.
Hug,
Dianne
