Default cellulite...what is the real cause!!

Hi Ladies,

I'm starting a new thread on cellulite topic, since generally all women and specially us with pcos usually have to deal with it in some point in our life.

I developed mild cellulite around my thighs when I was only 18 and I know for sure that it got worse during last two year without any reason.
However one thing for sure has changed for me and that was my hormonal level and got diagnosed with pcos.

I went on bcp's to help my pcos symptoms,it didntdo a thing for me and even my cellulite got worse,
I have done alot of research on internet and they can't really make their minds on what hormone is exaclty causing this.

well ladies I wouldreallylike to know if from your experience you have found which hormone is goign against us!!!!

I havn't found the answer yet but let me tell youI have been off the pill for almost 2.5 months and started my hardcore low carb/high protein diet no sugar,no bread no dairy...lots and lots of fresh fruits and veggie juice 2 glass a day.

and massaging my thighs with coco butter /avocado oil half an hour before going to bed at night.

I dont do any workout but I walk for 20 to 30min everyday
I just want to mention I was working out last year and though it would help but unfortunatly it made it worse and I have these dreadfull stretch marks,so I'm kind of scared of doing any activity.

but well enough my diet has helped me alot I can swear on that, the only annoying thing about veggie juice is that makes ur skin yellowish tone which really I dont mind since it sort of blend with stretch marksand makes then less noticable.

any idea???

Cellulite is simply fat that bulges irregularly from the skin due to the layout of connective tissue under the skin. Most women will get cellulite and it has nothing to do with PCOS.

There is no cure for cellulite, although some spa treatments (massage, laser, creams) may temporarily help. To lessen the appearance of cellulite, you can lose weight, although there is no guarantee that you'll lose fat on a particular part of your body.

Thumbs up

Have you looked into dry skin brushing?

I too have cellulite - all over my stomach.
I recently started doing it and although it's too soon to see much of a change, people I know say they have gotten good results from it.

You can buy natural bristle skin brushes online or at a store like Whole Foods. I have the tampico brush, it was around $7.

Basically, you are supposed to brush your whole body (except sensitive skin areas like your face or spots with rashes) using long vertical strokes towards your heart. Your stomach region I've read you are to use circular strokes going clockwise. You shouldn't brush too hard (meaning, if your skin gets red, it's too hard)

Basically, dry skin brushing stimulates the lymphatic system to remove toxins from the fat cells, which in turn, helps tighten fat cells. It also makes your skin look nicer.

Cellulite is fat. Women tend to have it around the thighs and butt because that's where we hold the most fat. Men have more muscle mass than we do, and do not tend to hold as much fat around the hips and thighs, therefore you don't see it as often. It's a characteristic of estrogen producing creatures!

Lose weight and tone up, that's the cure.

The beauty (product) industry keeps brain washing people into thinking that their cosmetic ailments are out of their control, that somehow it's not their fault that they have flabby arms or dimples in their ass's. It's a marketing scheme and it makes me sick. This world is catering to sloth.
