Question Central NJ PCOS Docs?

Can anyone recommend a doctor who is very familiar with PCOS and the treatment in Central NJ (Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Morris county area)?

I thought that my OB/GYN was pretty well versed in it, but now that I'm having some problems, his reply was "stop eating so much , and I don't do that stuff, see an endocrinologist or specialist"....

So, if anyone knows of a specialist or Endo who is good at treating PCOS and is very familiar with it, please let me know!

Thanks!
Karen

Hi, there's a place in Somerset, NJ, off of Davidson Avenue.

I think the web site is www.rmanj.com

That's the web site, I just checked!

I absolutely LOVE my R.E. and he's got three offices in Central NJ.

South Jersey Fertility Center Locations:

Marlton Location - 512 Lippincott Dr. Marlton, NJ 856-596-2233

Linwood Location - 2106 New Road #E2 Linwood, NJ 609-927-8777

Fries Mill Pavilions - 188 Fries Mill Rd. #K2 Turnersville, NJ 856-728-6252

Not sure how close any of those locations are to you. I'm in Cape May County, and I do most of my stuff in Linwood (which is close to A.C.) but will do the actual egg retrieval and embryo transfer in the Marlton office, which is close to Philly. I'm of the opinion that it's worth the drive - this physician's group is really great. They're all board-certified, I've NEVER had any trouble getting an appointment or a call-back for an after hours question. The staff is wonderful, too.

Here's the webpage:

Question Central NJ PCOS Docs?

Thank you both for your replies. I did check out the websites, but it seems like both groups are focused on Infertility treatment. At the present time, I'm not looking to get pregnant, I just need some help from a doc who is very experienced in PCOS and treatment since I'm starting to have some more problems, unrelated to trying to get pregnant.

If anyone knows a doctor endocrinologist who specializes in PCOS & its treatement, please let me know!

I got one name from a co-worker, I may check her out, but I don't know how informed she is on PCOS, but my co-worker said that she is very knowledgable... so here is her info as an FYI....

Dina Prus-Wertheimer 120 Summit Ave, Summit, NJ 908-273-4300
Does anyone know her?

Default doc in warren county nj

Hi,
There is a group in Phillipsburg NJ called Hillcrest OB/GYN. I have been seeing Dr. Daniel Berger there. I was only diagnosed about 3 months ago so I don't know exactly how knowledgable he is on pcos, but I guess I will find out sooner or later. However, he is a very down to earth doctor and is very easy to talk to so that may help even if he isn't an expert on pcos. Good Luck.
