Default Central/Southern NJ doctor!

I'm looking for a PCOS-friendly doctor in/around central to southern New Jersey.

Somewhere ideally in Monmouth or Ocean County.

I am chunky and I'd like a doctor who understands my concerns.. Thanks for the help

I have heard that Dr. Allen Morgan in Lakewood is pretty good. A cyster from another board told me about him.

I'll PM you with all the information.

It is a small world, my mother went to high school with him!!!

I went to Dr Lawrence Van Horn (when I lived in NJ). I think he is in Wall now. I am not sure how well he handles PCOS if you are not TTC. Good luck!

Thanks you two!

CelticSpirit, I am unable to respond to your PM because I don't have the post requirements yet. But, I did type out a response. I guess everyone will get to read it :

Thanks for replying! I am just now getting back to the site, unfortunately.

You know honestly, I am nervous about going to a new doctor. I've gained so much weight because I am a potato-holic, which is horrible for us PCOSers.

I know I should, as we've been TTC since 2005. My current OBGYN in Monmouth County dx'ed me with PCOS (and I was told I had endo by my first OBGYN as a teen), but she immediately wanted to refer me to an RE. This was last year.

I'm just a few months shy of 21, and at the time receptionist at the RE office gave me grief saying that she'd never heard of infertility in someone so young. So, I just haven't seen anyone. I have an appointment with her on the 17th about my endo, but not PCOS. I don't even really want to see her.

We're looking to relocate to the south within the next few months.. and I really can't decide if I should see someone now or just wait until I move.

Oh the decisions. Thanks for listening.
