I tried Certain-Dri for several months, but lately it seems to have stopped working as if my body got used to it. My current medications don't go well with Certain-Dri either - the dry mouth problem triples causing dehydration & constipation. And all this in time for spring & summer. Eew.
Has anyone else tried to control sweating over several months, or even years, using methods other than Certain-Dri?
I have used a deodorant called Maxim (google it) for about 5 years now. I used to sweat through every single shirt and had to always wear a black cardigan to cover up. Now I can wear anything I want. It's great stuff!
P.S. I also experienced a period where Maxim wouldn't work, but I kept using it and it soon started working again... haven't had a problem since.

I've tried Certain-Dri with temporary results. I have also heard decent things about Secret Clinical. My doc prescribed me a deodorant called "IC Hypercare Solution STR." Works in the same way as the others, put it on before bed. I've had great results!!
I sweat EVERYWHERE excessively except my pits. I use regular antipersirant and deoderant under my arms and under my boobs. I wish there was something for my face, because face sweat is icky.

What exactly do you use under your boobs? That is my biggest problem and I tried my regular deodorant there and it wasn't a great idea. (it stayed sticky as it is gel deodorant)

Wow, it is such a relief to see this thread. I always felt weird about bringing up how easily I get sweaty. I just use the regular stuff like Dove or Teen Spirit but they havent really done anything for me. Truth be told, I've ruined tons of shirts bc of the sweat stains and deodorant stains. It's getting to be so annoying. I think I will try out Certain-Dri first since I'm not ready to shell out 14 bux for the Maxim deodorant

Toniv, please do share what type of antiperspirant you use for the area under your breasts, please! This has become a real problem for me, causing great embarrasment for me. I had never thought of using antiperspirant on that area before however.

FYI: Certain-Dri didn't work for me. Maxim did. And the $14 Maxim will lasts for a long time.

I tried the Secret clinical for about a week. It worked great at first, then all the sudden it seemed to lose its effect. I switched back to Dove, and I only wear shirts that wont "show" sweat spots. Its a terrible way to live, because there are so many cute shirts out there that I cannot wear.
Yes, I have the same exact problem too! I sweat more than most men! I don't have to be doing anything in particular and I get drenched all over. Even after getting out the shower as I get ready, I sweat a lot! It's soo unattractive! I remember always having this, but it seems that lately it's gotten worse. From reading this thread, I wonder if it's related at all to having higher levels of testosterone for women with PCOS. I think there is a link between PCOS and increased sweat.
To answer your question regarding the Certain Dri, you don't need an RX for it. It's available at drugstores. It is a roll-on antiperspirant.
