I heard Robitussin can help. I read somewhere that you should drink lots of water and take Robitussin for 4-5 days starting after your period. I'm not sure if there's much research on that but the explanation I read said it helps by thinning out the mucus and drinking more water will increase mucus production as well. Again, I'm not sure how much research has been done on this. Good luck!

Hi there, not sure if you want to increase cervical mucous or thin out excessive thick mucous? the above first two comments are to do with thinning out mucous that you already have, it doesnt increase it.

Have been researching this for the past few weeks as im ttc and have heaps of very thick mucous and im about to use the Robitussin method to aid in conception.

All the best!!

i have the same question, as i'm on clomid and i'm very dry! i hear that robitussin (the plain kind only b/c the one with the letters behind it has something that has the reverse effect) works as well as drinking water. i've also heard that some REs prescribe some sort of low does of hormones - is it estrogen? anyone know?
