Default change in hair *texture* w/ androgenic alopecia?

Hi ladies,

Has anyone noticed, in addition to hair thinning, a change in the texture and behavior of the hair? Since my hair has started to thin, I've noticed it's become more brittle and fluffy. I have had curly/ wavy hair most of my life, and now it seems to be less curly/ more limp. Maybe this is another effect of the testosterone in the body.

OY!

Thanks,
Caitlin

Yep. My hair was very thick and curly growing up. Now it's a lot thinner and the left side is straight and the right side is really curly. Lovely hormones!

Me too!!!!! I have the exact same problem... I'm not on any meds right now to lower testosterone and such.

Has anyone had success reversing this???? Getting back to "normal"?

A year later, my hair is still the same. It's healthy because I've changed my eating habits but it hasn't thickened any. I'm using WEN and Carol's Daughter products. Maybe one day I'll have my hair back. . .
