Default Change in menstrual flow

Hello Cysters ,

I have an odd problem,i always use to have full periods,or with normal or a bit heavy bleeding, even when i started BCPs,but since last 2 months there is a change in my cycle,i am having very light or low bleeding, last time it was equal to none, even the colour is not reddish,it's brownish,it has got me really worried,my cousin who is a GP told me to take calcium, but no difference,i am worried if there is any complication being developed inside me ???

Thanks,

Zeinia.

My periods have changed too. I used to have bright red, medium to heavy flow, with clots and loads of pain, I am on my 5th cycle of Yasmin and my period is extremely light in flow, and the blood is darker, and far fewer clots and pain. I am not worried at all. It is normal for periods to get lighter the longer you are on the pill because when the lining is shed and you start a new pack, the hormones don't allow a full build up of the womb lining therefore less is there to shed. So, from your description I wouldn't worry about anything. Sometimes after using the pill for a while your periods may stop altogether. Though this can be strange and a change of pill may help.

xx
