Default Change in skin tone?

Most of us have experienced some sort of acne on our faces. But have any of you experienced a change in your skin tone? Like a paleness of some sort on the face. If so, what did you do?

Any ideas or venting is welcome.

or even some redness... like an inflammation of some sort that keeps the skin from glowing?

My skin is typical of any woman's. Enlarged pores, acne scars, uneven tone. I don't know anyone with flawless skin though, so it doesn't really upset me. It's improved ten fold after getting peels/laser treatments.. AND with the right foundation anyone can make theirs look flawless =P

My face has gotten paler (but this may also be due to lack of sleep).. I def have always had blotchy skin like it's darker underneath my eyes and around my mouth which I hate.. My neck, parts of my body and face are all different colors.. I've found that eating healthy and excercising helps my complexion and taking mulit-vitamins makes me tanner (prb due to the beta carotene)

I have a tanned complexion, and when my thyroid went on a slow mode, my face got really pale, I didn't have that tropical, tanned complexion at all, if anything, I kept getting lighter, and believe me I was, since I've been working outside under the sun for a couple of years now... My face kept getting this redness and rash thingy around my cheeks, my co-workers were calling me Strawberry shortcake, because of how pinky my cheeks were, even as I was working under the sun for 12 hrs daily 5 times a week... Went to the doctor and I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, started my meds and my skin went back to normal after a long battle b/w myself and several doctors that didn't want to increase my dosage... Now I'm back to my normal complexion and if something the more I get exposed to the sun the tanner I get...

You know...as I've gotten older, I've noticed I've actually gotten darker, regardless of time spent in the sun. My friend, who is the same age, has also noticed her skin tone getting darker too. And I try to keep out of the sun way more than before, wear hats and large sunglasses, but I still take color very easily. She avoids the sun like crazy and still has a darker skin tone.

We are both naturally tanned complexions...but it's funny, we were just talking about that recently. Could it just be hormonal or something that comes with age? some people get lighter, some darker? I don't really know.
