Default Changing diet to help acne but don't want to lose weight....is it possible?

4 years ago i was diagnosed with PCOS. all my life i have had very irregular periods, fertility problems, and I have acne. so before having my first son i adjust my diet to exclude all refined carbs and sugars. my periods became regular, i got pregnant, and my acne went away. i had an easy pregnancy and nursed my son. then once i finished nursing my so my acne came back... a lot worse than the first time. again i adjusted my diet but then i lost too much weight. i am thin to begin with so i didn't need to lose weight. now after nursing my second son, my acne is returning. i could go back to my adjusted diet but i can afford to lose 10 lbs. any suggestions on how i can keep weight on and eat better to clear up my skin? As a side note, i have tried a TON of skin care regimes that have NEVER worked. changing my diet is the only thing that has worked to clear up my skin in the past.

Thanks!

A book that a Naturopathic doctor recommended to me is called Eat Right For Your Type. It talks about how blood types react to different foods. It is really interesting. It seems like you have your reactants pinpointed to refined foods and sugar. When you breastfeed, your body uses alot of calories to keep up with the baby's milk needs. You will have to eat MORE to keep up your energy and weight. I recommend that you eat small meals every few hours. This will keep your body sustained and keep your milk production up. Protein is really important for this too. I would incorporate lots of higher calorie proteins to keep your weight stable.
Examples:
Peanut butter on Ezekial toast
Whole milk yogurt
cheese
Almond butter on celery and carrots
Boiled eggs
Tuna or salmon on romaine leaves

Good luck!

people gain weight eating the "right" foods all the time. a truly dedicated binge eater could gain eating nothing but apples if she consumed more calories than she burned. nuts, avocados, oily fish are things i eat very small amounts of both for taste+health benefits. just up the amounts and you'll have no problems maintaing your weight. you can always take a tablespoon of cold pressed extra virgin olive oil with meals if you're desperate for the calories.
