I was dx by a doc named Scott Naegele at Women's and CHildrens. He did not tell me hardly anything about it and did not want to talk to me about getting pregnant at all and kept telling me to lose weight lose weight lose weight. I agree, losing weight would be excellent and such a good idea but he should have at least talked to me about a plan or goal or something in terms of ttc, but he never would even tell me my options or anything. I have friends with no problems that are not overweight and they like him, just kinda dry personality. He just wouldnt tell me anything and he didnt really even answer questions that I had. I was more confused coming out than I was going in. Just my opinion though. Then I went to the RE that was in Charleston just to get established with someone else and I liked him but he left in June and I only had 2 appts with him. Anyhow he asked me who I wanted referred to and I told him that someone with PCOS had mentioned Randall Hill. I wasnt clear whether or not he had sent Hill a letter because I was suppose to get a copy, anyhow this was a couple mths ago and I just hadnt called to schedule with Dr. Hill yet. Then at the beginning of Aug, I was having some problems, so I just called the old RE's office because there were still some GYNs there and I ended up seeing Coy Flowers. He seemed really nice and was helpful. I dont know how much he knows about PCOS yet. I dont know whether to try him out or go ahead and go to Hill because I actually heard it from a girl with PCOS. Anyway I dont know if I have helped but just wanted to let you know who I didnt like. Thats not saying you wouldnt like him, just what my opinion was. Has anyone recommended Hill to you? I wish I could just call the doc up and ask him if he knows and treats PCOS. That would be so much easier ;o)
Just wanted to add some info. In another post about WV docs, you may have already read it, but there was another lady that went to Dr. Naegele and she really liked him. I hope that I havent confused anyone. Just wanted to tell my experience. You may want to go check out that post if you havent done so already b/c he sounds like a good fit for her and may be a good fit for you as well. Hope my info has helped a little.
Hey Tonia,
just wondering if you ever found a doc. I still havent made up my mind who I am going to go to. Have you heard anything else about Hill? Or have you heard anything else?

Steph - I still haven't found anyone. I was considering Dr. Betty Goad (Thomas Hospital). Have you heard anything about her? It's discouraging that there are so few good GYNs in our area.

I havent heard anything about her. I agree, it is very hard in this area. I wish there was an RE still in the area. I liked the one that was here, but only got to see him twice. He seemed so educated on the whole PCOS thing. One of my friends ran into one of her friends and found out that she has PCOS. She is from this area and has been dx for years and finally was able to get pregnant and is trying right now for # 2. Anyhow, she is going to check with her to see who her doctor is and find out more info from her so as soon as I hear something back, I will let you know what I find out. Good Luck on everything. I have just been kinda slacking off from searching because my next move is contacting the one I went to in Aug to schedule my biopsy in November. My goal right now is to start a diet, probably the IR diet and take my Met and hopefully get a little more regular before I have to go back in two mths. Are you on any meds or anything?
