Default Charting after D&C

Boy. oh boy, seems like I've started a million threads. I'm just so full of questions!

It seems that my bleeding has FINALLY stopped (I'm on hour 20 of my 24 hour wait). I want to start temping and charting with Fertility Friend but I just realized: Sometimes it takes longer for AF to return after a D&C. So far, I've heard from a couple people that it takes 7 - 8 weeks or so. Well it's been 3 weeks so far for me, but I have no clue when it'll come back.

Will the prolonged period of time before AF screw anything up in FF?

I think I would probably just print off a couple of paper charts and do those until a real cd1 makes its appearance. If you do have one soon, you could transfer your info into FF, but otherwise you wouldn't mess anything up.

Thanks! That's a great idea! Now let's see if my bleeding will stop so that I CAN get AF again.

Gaaahhh

I would do the same thing. I had my D&C on November 1st and then I started my new cycle on December 6. So that part was like a normal cycle. It wasn't until after the first cycle that it started to get wacky. I actually am just now getting back to normal.

I think you can't do much until your first AF returns. Mine returned 4 1/2 weeks after the d&C, about 2 1/2 weeks after the last of the light spotting stopped (had almost no real bleeding). However, what you may want to look out for is when AF would have arrived had you not been pregnant. Mine arrived on EXACTLY the date it would have had I never been pregnant. I think it takes a while for our bodies to get off of our monthly cycles, and I guess it never really happened for me. I even had all the EWCM at about the time I would have been ovulating on my normal schedule. I guess I should have had at it as soon as the doctor said all clear, but oh well...

Although I'm tempted to take a 'what the heck' stab at it this month, as I figured out that should I get PG this month, my due date would be.... Leap Day, 2008. (I thought the calculator thing wasn't working right, so I did it again). How cool would that be? But I'm not holding my breath, on a lot of fronts.

Fleegle - 'What the heck' sounds great! They're wonderful because there's no pressure. I hope you get a BFP!
