Question Chasteberry?

I'm thinking of adding Chasteberry to my little brew, which so far includes Dong Quai, Bee Pollen and Flaxseed Oil. Do you think it might help me? I have regular cycles, 14 day LP and DH has great SA. Have conceived (then lost) one child naturally. Very light periods though. I thought this might be of some use during a 3 month break before we do IUI. I don't want to use Clomid again - it messed with my body too much.

Any input welcome.

Hi Megan!

It couldn't hurt, I don't think, to take it. Only you can really decide that. If your hormones are level, though, I don't know if vitex would help. It's supposed to balance out the hormones (it's supposed to really help with progesterone). Maybe do some reading on it to help you decide? I recently listed about 10 links on another thread: Vitex and the effects of taking bromocriptine for high prolactin levels
Go to the second last post; they're all listed there. Oh, and one other that's not listed: chasteberry

I haven't come across anything negative about vitex so far. So it might be worth a shot. You never know.

I've heard some good things about False Unicorn Root (FUR) too. I just haven't done a lot of research on it yet. Maybe look into that one too?

Sorry about your loss. Wishing you lots of babydust and a BFP soon!

Hi Megan
I have just started taking vitex recently. I have to say it seems to be helping me ie. regular period and symptoms of ovulation. I'm not sure if I actually am ovulating (haven't done anything to really find out). I'm not actively ttc at the moment, but if it happens it happens.
I have the same thougths as you re: clomid so I'm trying to get my wacko system in order before ttc again......am hoping I don't have to do the clomid + met next time.
I reckon you should give it a burl.....can't hurt.
Good luck.......sending heaps of babydust your way.
Amy
