Default chemical peels

i'm going to try chemical peels. i've got to wait about 6 months because my skin's very sensative, since i'm just coming off of accutane. i've checked out the acne website and there are mixed reactions from it. if anyone here has had it done can you please tell me what price range it would be (i don't have health insurance) and how effective you thought it was. by the way, i don't mind pain! just really, really want clear skin!

thanks!

I am looking into having some peels as well, so would be interested in any information. Also considering N-lite - has anyone had any experience with that?

I have done the N-Lite with no success. It helped for a few days but as I have found over the years that this is something that has to be maintained from the inside, i'm guessing with vitamins, herbs and meds. I have done just about all of the lights, lasers, meds, ointments and accutane. and found that they all help for a little bit but it just doesn't permanently go away.
i'm still looking for that cure but now I am trying to be satisfied with the things that help to make it not so bad.
I have never done a Chemical Peel but I did do several Micro Dermabrasion Treatments in conjunction with Obagi (skin lightening and exfoliating, very very harsh) and facials. Just helped a bit.

I haven't had a professional chemical peel done yet, but I sell AVON and they have a MICRO-EXFOLIANT wash and a 2 STEP FACIAL PEEL. With the peel you get a 30 day supply for $32. And I love the Micro-Exfoliant, I have these little raised bumps that are starting to smooth out and my face feels great. and it is $20

Angry

acne treating products from cosmetic companies are bull****. if they do anything, it's useless for SEVERE acne. i'm so mad. i've been dealing with this since i was 16 years old. now i'm an adult. and i'm willing to do something drastic. if it's not done by a dermatologist, i'ts crap and would be a waste of yet MORE money!!!!

I am sorry, I didn't mean to offend, I have been looking at getting this done but can't afford it at this moment and gave these products a try, when my dr suggested since I couldn't afford the treatment to try the Nuterogeana home kit that was out there and then when I started AVON they had something similar.
Sorry again.
