Default Chicago area great doctor

Fertility Centers of IL (fcionline(dot)com)
My doc is Dr. Meike Uhler in Naperville. She is the first doc I have had that actually TREATED and understood PCOS.

I see Dr. Patricia Boatwright with Rush University Medical Center/ hospital. She's been great with both my PCOS and Endo. But be prepared to take all day waiting to be called back... I think she's worth it tho

When you say that your doctor actually treated your PCOS, what do you mean by that? I am new to PCOS and have been wondering if I need to get a new doctor. Confused!

For me it was lots of Lupron Depot shots and surgery. My ovaries were so enlarged, but she did "drilling" on them and got them small and then the shots helped keep them that way. At least so far. I'm still on Megace, a hormone medicine, but am having much less ovary pain. Dr Boatwright is a great OBGYN when you're dealing with ovary pain and not ttc or even ttc w/ PCOS.

Hi. Still hoping for a response about this doc. I'm so happy there is a doc that understands PCOS and can treat it. I'm willing to go even though Naperville is a bit of a ways from Chicago, but I'm willing to go if this endo can actually treat the source of PCOS. I've been to so many endos already even the ones in Chicago that are supposed "experts" in PCOS. Thanks.

I'm wondering what a good Dr is. 22 years ago I was diagnosed with Pcos in college clinic, I was 18, first time away from home, already feeling odd with acne and hairy and fell into a depression when the Dr. told me what I had and that I may never concieve. SInce then I feel that I have had bad luck with Drs. ONe Dr. told me it is normal to have brown periods with slight burning sensation. Another Dr. rolled his eyes at his pretty resident as I told him sex was painful and I kept getting yeast infections after sex. My current RE is very nice but seem very rushed because he is a highly respected Dr at a top Chicago hospital, I am afraid to ask about his opinion of alternative medicines. I guess I would like to find a Dr who also has some experience/knowledge of alternative medicines and doesn't just want to stick me with medications. Any suggestions?
