I was browsing through the message board today and I was reading a post regarding hair removal--it seems that most people just have a few stray hairs on their chin, and they can actually let the hair grow long enough to wax! Well, this amazes me. I have thick, course, black hair on my fair skinned chin. And I have A LOT of it. Is this totally abnormal, even amongst fellow PCOSer's???
I have the same kind of hair men have on their chin, it just doesn't grow quite as extensively as on a man's face. (remains on the left and right side of the chin, and some hair on the neck)
I have to shave once or twice a day (twice if I don't want stubble in the evening) Is anybody else like this, or am I all alone???
You are definitely not alone! I have a very hairy chin and neck! We're not talking about a few stray hairs here...lol. I think some women have a lot and some don't.

You are not alone...you really aren't! I have a lot of chin hair as well. I have A LOT more than a few stray hairs. I do allow my hair to grow in so I can wax it. I hate waiting for it...and I hate the fact that others can see it...but I like the results I get from waxing...better that shaving! You are not alone!

You are not alone! I have developed a fine fuzz all over my face and I have thick, stubbly, black chin hairs that have now started to grow on the side of my mouth and on my upper lip. I have to pluck my chin every morning and afternoon. But I don't shave.
Problem with plucking is that the hair is so thick, sometimes I get bumps on my chin from plucking the hair!
I have the same problem, I can't let it grow long enough to wax and I can't pluck, there are so many hairs and they are imbedded way to deep to pluck without doing serious damage to my face to I have to shave everyday and twice if I ever go out in the evening. You are not alone and we understand

you are definately not alone! That's one good thing about this site is that I have found a fabulous group of support and understanding on something I can never share with anyone else!
Chin hair --- yes, have it and not a few strays. They started off as strays and I plucked and plucked and then also pulled some regular hairs along with them and pretty soon I had several dark course hairs growing in. UGH!!! I had a stray hair on my cheek and plucked that out and i regret it!!! I became dark and course and I can't wait to get laser treatment on my face.
Well, I shave my upper lip, sideburns and chin every morning and tweeze any growth at night. I usually don't shave on Friday morning so that the hair is a bit easier to tweeze by nighttime. The growth isn't that bad to be too self conscious about it for just one day, but growing it out enough to wax.... NEVER!!!!! I worked with a Pediatrician and she would let her chin hairs grow out and then I believe wax them. I just couldn't bare exposing myself that way. I am jus too self conscious about my facial hair problem to do that. But htat's just me.
First of all I wanted to Welcome you to SC. I have Chin hair too..and I just keep plucking away. It is bothersome to me..and gosh I wish I could get under control. Keep in touch

I hate to say this, but I have it too!! We did a bathroom remodel last month and I lost my tweezers! I didn't have them for 4 days. I didn't realize how bad it was until I looked in the rear view mirror when i was backing up. I have always had a fuzzy face and now they are corse and black. Hang in there, you are defineatley not alone!!
