LID - ??? (heard yesterday that the process changed and CCAA doesn't send LID's seperately anymore and only when they have something else to send like referrals and they often forget the LID's...that's why so many are still waiting 6 weeks later so I may never get one)
hopeful for a referral between June 7 - 12, 2006!

we'll be starting the paperchase in February or March. Earlier if we can find the funds, but unlikely.

I'm guessing you could add that my referral is expected in January. I can't see it coming in December now. I just heard from another woman who is waiting for this next batch to come in. She is DTC in April and her agency told her *not* to expect a referral this go-round and that it might just be 1/2 of March coming in! UGH!!!!!!!!!!

I *so* hope that's wrong!!

Yay Brandy!!

Lisa- My prediction for you is January 16th, there's 2 reasons why. 1. it's my wedding anniversary & Chris' birthday; 2. I counted out 230 days from your DTC date and it would be January 16th!

So I'm hoping it's before that but I'm predicting that for you!

Amy - 230 days from your DTC is February 14th!

Bonnie - 230 days from your DTC is May 29th!

When are the holidays (is there a website that shows all PRC Holidays?)

At this point I don't expect referral till February, which is okay I guess everything happens for a reason right ? Our girls are waiting we cant help but be anxious to get to them and ensure their safety and health

Congrats Brandy ! Sounds like you have made up your mind to join us in China

i feel so bad..i couldnt even remember my DTC date..i was almost hiding under my chair in embarrassment

i guess im trying really hard not to think about it.. i just keep telling people it will be here before we know it... now im focusing on xmas.. im putting my tree up this weekend

...yes i know its october but my family has always deocrated early... and im shopping alot to..i got the cutest primitive sign to put about leahs crib it says "always kiss me goodnight" maybe im still on a paperchase free high right now

Did I even post where the 230 days came in? I don't think so....
Here it is:
Someone actually polled the last 6 referral months and this is what he came up with:
"A pretty consistent gauge right now is 230 days from DTC. 6 out of 6 of the last DTC groups have received their referrals within 220 - 230 days after being DTC. Out of the last 6 DTC groups 5 out of the 6 received their referrals between 212 - 217 days after being LID. Over the last 12 months the avg amount of time between DTC and LID is 14 days. Which is consistent with the difference in days between the DTC/Referral and the LID/Referral times."

So I did 230 days just b/c it's the longest amt of time and anything before that would be awesome! I just don't know how holidays come in to play...

DS was a snake and had a blast his favorite part was handing out candy to all the kids

Next year we will have our DD home I am SO excited and so anxious and so stressed and so overwhelmed and so so so so AAAHHH I could BUST ...

Hi everyone:

Is it okay to drop in and say "hi"? I posted a time or two on the previous thread. We are currently paperchasing for DD#1, and hope to be DTC in January or February. Our agency is Sunny Ridge in Wheaton, IL. I think I spoke to Strawberree on a thread once about the name "Leah" -- our first name choice right now for our daughter is Leah, also (with the same exact spelling) -- I'm sorry to have to add that confusion to the mix!!

Bobbie & I just both made a great choice for a name!

Congrats on your October DTC's! That is so exciting.

I'm so happy to see Diva over here talking about adoption. We've been on the same TTC thread together for a long time. It's a little scary to be testing the waters of other threads, LOL.

This week I am getting my medical forms taken care of, and all of my lab work, TB test, etc. done. I am feeling pretty anxious & scared... all during infertility treatments, it was just more bad news all the time... I have sort of this irrational fear of getting tests done! I just want to be through this stage with good results!! Did anyone else feel this way? I'm feeling kind of alone & scared.

Well, thanks for listening! I love reading all of your posts, I have learned so much and have taken copious notes, LOL.

Welcome Cathy! Of course it's ok, you're adopting from China so this is the place to be!

I completely know the feeling of something going wrong. It still doesn't go away (at least for me) even after your DTC! We had an "extended" paperchase b/c of some extra paperwork we had to get, I never thought it would end and was so thankful when it did end! Of course, now I'm looking forward to an LID and then I'll be looking forward to Referral, and then to travel...so as you see, I don't think it will ever end!

Argh! I swear, I am SO sick of Chris working so much! He was gone for a week so I was here all alone and now this weekend he has to work all weekend long so here I'll be sitting again...

He owes me way big time now and we're going shopping! I'm making him take me to Toys 'R Us, Michael's, Joann Fabrics, Garden Ridge (for all you "Yankees" Garden Ridge is almost like The Christmas Tree Shops), and maybe even a few other places! He definately owes me big b/c there is a lot that we've missed since he's had to work so much! And I was hoping we could have our nursery furniture by Christmas but I doubt it now that we keep having to put it off! Maybe next weekend he'll have some time off...
