Our itinerary has changed and we are staying until the 18th now not the 16th .. aparently they couldnt issue us return visas in time ??? whatever I dunno as long as we are on a direct flight i dont care

I love that we're so chatty! I surely would have gone crazy by now w/o ya'll either! I'm telling you, this wait is aging me! My hair is falling out/turning gray (& somehow my hair either got cut in one spot or broke off b/c @ the top of my head is this patch of really, really short hair which doesn't look good @ all...I have LONG hair-to about the middle of my back)! I'm not gaining a ton of weight, I'm actually losing some little by little even though I'm not eating very good (which is great that I'm not gaining a ton but I need to start eating better & walking again!)!
Of course, right now I have the cleanest house on the block b/c I was so frusterated & bored today! At least the wait is making my house stay clean!
Just wanted to pop in and say hello. I have been reading the posts but haven't really had much to say lately. We were fingerprinted in Charlotte at the beginning of the month (Sept) and are awaiting our 171H. We are finally seeing the light at the end of the dossier tunnel. The wait for our referral is going to just about kill me though. UGH. At least my little guy is keeping me busy so I don't have too much time to think about it.

Well girls...one more month till we leave for China...
I cant believe it I am in such a weird place with it all right now. Its 4:14 am and I just cant sleep...
Today I am going for an aromatherapy massage and then out to a quaint little desserts place in Newcastle which is a little town near me with a friend. Aerik is going to be in school so it gives me a chance to try and relax (not that he isnt the sweetest boy ever) and my friend is giving me my 2nd suitcase so I can really get down to packing becuz our weekends are booked until we leave with a wedding, a get together and then I am working
This month is going to fly !
Brandy how are you doing with getting ready ? Do you have to get Isabelle a seat on the place ?

Melissa you're so close!!!! It took I think 3 weeks to get our I-171H (797-C in some places) but ours wasn't the norm, it usually takes longer in our area, not sure how long it takes the NC CIS office to process them. Then it took another month to get all the authentication, certification, & translation (our agency does that all, it'll take you less if you've been doing it yourself). It's taking about a month after DTC to get your LID & it'll probably take several weeks after that until you know the date.
Amy I can't believe you're leaving in a month! Do you have your packing list ready or do you need me to send you one (I've changed ours again b/c of the restrictions on airlines now).
Brandy if you need a packing list, let me know!

Girls, I'm almost done piecing together the rows of Aimee's quilt!!!! And I got the sweetest squares/note/wishes in the mail yesterday! With the thank you cards, I sent our a request to our family/friends for quilt squares/wishes. Well, an old friend took the old Chinese tradition quite literally. She sent Aimee 2 squares from a pillow her youngest daughter laid her head on when she was a baby! It was so sweet, it made me cry (Chris thinks I'm now crazy!)!
Well, we have our tickets in hand, hotels booked for Hong Kong.. waiting to get the bill for all the in China stuff from our agency. We haven't even begun packing yet, unless you count the mounds of stuff piled up in Isabelle's closet! Unfortunately, most packing lists I run across, including the one our agency gave us, are for babies. We're getting a 2.5 year old, so we're having to do some major adjustments. Oh.. and yeah Amy, we had to get seats for Isabelle and Sam. Thankfully the prices have dropped dramatically in the last month, so all total it was less than I was worried it might be just for me and Dan!
I think I'm FINALLY over the bad case of bronchitis my dad gave me, so hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can finish up Isabelle's room and her dresser this weekend. (My sister gave her the dresser that she had as a child, but it's been living in my parents smoke filled house for 19 years, so we need to strip and repaint it!)

Well kids its official...I have lost it...I missed an appointment today...I NEVER ever miss ANYTHING ever ever...again with the never ever...
I feel so stupid ! LOL ah well they are forgiving but I hope my neck / head will be too since it was for accupuncture
We finally got the proper antibiotics for the kids and have to do an accelerated dose of Hep shots with Aerik ( ok who forgot he isnt vaccinated against it ???)

Brandy I dont know what to tell you about Isabelle...do you think she is potty trained ? I would take some pull-ups with you just in case..toys, toys and more toys for the both of them...something like a special dolly or something that she can hang onto for dear life becuz you know even though you love her and have been waiting for her she hasnt been for you (that thought sucks doesnt it???) .. can you send a care package with photos of you guys and a special little blanket or something you have slept with ? that would help for her probly...
Phew ! I can believe we leave in 30 days ! 29 for you Brandy !

Don't be surprised if she is potty trained, though. Little Miss Kate would probably already be PT if she were still in China. She is great on the potty, esp. for poops. It's wonderful I have pictures the SWI took of her sitting on a big pot. They used to put her on it after every morning meal. I'm very proud of my lil one I tell ya!
