Has anyone tried the chinese teas? I just got a month supply from my acupuncturist and she told me not to have intercourse while using the tea. Does this sound right? I have already used clomid 3 times. I responded the first time and it didn't happen. The last 2 times it didn't work at all. I am just not sure what to do next. Any words of wisdom?
I'm prescribed a tea from my acupuncturist as well; it smells really good, but yes, it doesn't taste good! How do you feel? I always feel great after an acupuncture session.
I wasn't told not to have sex though.

Didn't you ask her why you shouldn't have sex while you take the tea? If not, you should. Maybe she is confused about what you are trying to do... or maybe she knows you might get pregnant and doesn't think your body is just ready yet. Or maybe she's superstitious and her reason has to do with that. I don't know of any reason that someone shouldn't have sex while using any herbs.

I do feel wonderful after acupuncture. They also have been burning herbs on my stomach in the contraption. It is supposed to increase bloodflow to my organs. I did ask her about the "no sex" and she said it was part of the healing process with the tea. That is a long time!
Has anyone used tea and meds together?
I haven't used tea and meds together; last week when my western doctor wanted to put me on metformin, I told her I was doing acupuncture and herbs and she said that it would be OK to wait to see if that worked out.
Also, I think it's just a bad idea to be mixing drugs together. Chinese medicine, while more "natural" than a pill you get from the pharmacist, may have nasty side effects when mixed with western meds. I'd rather try one method at a time.

That is what I was thinking. I hate to waste time though. It is hard to be patient and not stress over all of this.
How long have you been doing the acupuncture? I really do feel better after i go. I will definitely continue to do it when I decide to try other meds. Good luck to you!
I've been doing the acupuncture for around three weeks now. I feel great after I go. I've also noticed that I get really cold at night if I don't bundle up, which never used to happen.
Good luck to you too!
