Default Chiralbalance D-chiro-inositol

For those of you who have ordered D-chiro-inositol from Chiral Balance, how long did it take you to see any results? I want to try it, but it's a little expensive as the 30 day bottle would only last 15 days if I take the full amount. Thanks!

Huh? I think the studies done were 600 mg daily for non-obese PCOS and 1200 mg for obese PCOS. The small bottle should last 1 month @ 600 mg daily. I use a tiny measuring spoon and dump 1/4 teaspoon directly on my tongue--kinda sweet. I have been on it for about 2.5 months? I *think* I am having better luck with my cycles. My PCOS symptoms are still wild as heck, in fact my acne is worse (but I did stop spiro too) but I *think* I am ovulating and that's what I wanted--we're ttc.

Stuff is expensive, but pales in comparison to infertility drugs. First time I ordered UPS ground shipping and I never got it. I talked to the manufacturer and they sent a replacement via UPS 2-day at no extra cost to me, which I got. Now I order 2 months at a time (the large bottle) and do it UPS 2-day.

Hey, so far so good. Metformin destroyed my libido, made me fat & constipated (yes, metformin) and tired, tired. It also didn't do squat for ovulation. I notice with DCI usually I don't get shaky an hour after meals anymore but when I do need to eat, I have to eat ASAP or I get really really sick--fainting. Weight has stabilized after gaining steadily since spiro quit working post met. So haven't lost but haven't gained or changed shape either.

How close does the 1/4 tsb come out to the suggested 600mg? I saw the direction for mixing with water but that did not sound [to me] like it would work very well- or maybe it would but it seems sort of high maintance. Do you think that just measuring it out by volume is the way to go, or do you think that it needs the water - even as a filler agent to make sure that it goes down correctly? It it seems like a days amount is small and also like the cost for a small amount is high, so I guess you want to get every little be to go where it needs to go and not have any waste!

Well, just based on what the bottle & manufactureer say, I guess its' pretty close. I don't want to premix the stuff; I don't have time some days to come home and drink from the pre-mixed pitcher. I guess the only real accurate thing would be to get a scale, on our list someday. I figure it's better than nothing...I think, anyway, according to AF. I don't use a regular tsp, I use a special measuring 1/4 tsp and just fill it even to the brim. It was part of a set of them at Target for like $3.
