Default Cholseterol Meds

I am currently on lipitor for high cholesterol and I was wondering is there a med out there that is safe to use during PG? I dont want to get PG and have problems with changing meds I would like to do it first. I know that when TTC you should not be on meds that are not safe for your baby.

I was told that I have high cholesterol, but my doc didn't want to put me on the meds since I am ttcing. He just told me to really watch what I am eating. So if you ttc, I think you'll have to stop the medication.

I have just been given Simvastatin today from my GP because my cholesterol is raised from last time... my GP didn't ask me if I was TTC (I am now BTW, but would have been nice to have been asked, if there is a risk)...

I am reluctant to take it though as I would prefer to just work at cutting out the fat and stuff.... perhaps I'll take it for a few weeks see what happens.
