Default Christian Cysters Gaining Friends 2009 Summer Edition

Hello Cysters!

At one time this thread was very busy, but has since slowed some and changed a bit. I haven't been able to be dedicated to it the way I once was due to personal issues and 3 surgeries over the past 9 months. But would love to take the time to get it rolling again. This thread was a blessing from above. I have been part of this thread for about 6 or 7 yrs. now. I have made some very real friendships to this day from this thread. Friends that to this day were the "only" ones there for me through some of my darkest days last summer. They prayed and were supportive! Although, I have never met them in person. I truly believe the Lord brought us together here to help each other. I still talk to them but most left this thread or SC because of personal issues.

This thread has served and continues to serve a group of Ladies who love the Lord and have lots of goals we would like to obtain in our lives. Such as more confidence within oursleves, weight loss (exchange recipes, eating tips, exercise tips), TTC, just whatever is going on in your life. If you need a true friend or just to vent about anything, myself and others would love to be there for you! ALWAYS! And most of all PRAY for you!!

So, please feel free to grab a bean bag , let your hair down and we look foward to getting to know you and supporting you in whatever you need to express or share!!
We would love to get to know you!

It ttok me 10 yrs to have my 1st son. I did everything back then and eentually IVF w/ ICSI is what did it for me - Well, he was result of FET. I was about to do IVF again and in the middle they told me it wouldn't work. You kow through the whole process I knew something was wrong but I felt like God was telling me, Not to worry. I was confused and felt peaced - strange. I was upset but a month later when I started to prepare for another IVF cycle, my pg test came back +. So, God knew all along why I was not to worry!
I look foward to getting to know you!

Hi ladies.

I'm Amber. I'm new to the site. This may be a long post and for that I apologize. Mike and I have been married for 6 years this November. In Nov. 2007, we got pregnant but miscarried on Dec. 26. That was one of the lowest points in my life. I was "estranged" from the church and had been for years and I just knew this was God's way of waking me up and wanting me to get right with Him again. But that took months and months for me to realize that. I kept hearing "God has a plan in all of this" but it at the time seemed like salt on an open wound. I've now come to realize that it WAS His plan after all.

I'm still not active in the church for a few reasons. 1. We're about to move and I don't want to get active in a church only to "abandon" them in 3 weeks, and 2. DH and I aren't on the same page about going to church.

He is a Christian and prays daily but was forced to go to church as a kid and went to a very very charismatic and hypocritical church and was told over and over again when he questioned things that he needed to have the "demons" cast out of him. So he has a real hard time relaxing or feeling accepted and truly at peace in church. He feels that he can speak to God anywhere and that God can speak to him anywhere and that he doesn't have to go to church just to be near God. I can agree with that to an extent. I mean, I've never been big on feeling obligated to attend ALL functions. I feel for me, Sunday service and maybe a women's Bible Study would be sufficient for me. But he would prefer to stay home and watch church on TV than to be there. I don't know how to help him with it.

Also, I've recently been feeling a pull to start reading the Bible but have no idea where to start. I was raised in a Christian home and attended Christian schools all my life. But for some reason, I feel like I'm starting from square one. That both worries me but also is a great feeling, having a feeling of a wiped clean slate...believe me, I needed it.

Thanks for having this thread.

Look forward to making some friends for life.

Peace be with you all!

Hi, I registered about a year ago but haven't been on the site much at all. I was very excited today to find a thread for Christian women. We have a son who will be 4 in July and just started TTC #2. We used 150 mg Clomid and hcg with our son.

TxsBelle, my background is similar to yours. I was raised in church and at some point just stopped going. My husband was not a regular church attendee and felt like the churches he was exposed to were very hypocritical. My DH had a desire to know the Lord and after our son was born we new we needed to find a church where we would be happy and he could learn. We visited different churches off and on and found our church home January 2009, the first time we walked in the door it was like coming home.

I know there is a church that is right for you and your DH, but you have to be open to the possibilities. It's true, you do not have to go to church to be close to God. Having a church family provides you with a support group and I believe if you find the right church for you, you will want to be there every time the doors are open.

Regarding your bible study, one of the men in my DH bible study group suggested going to the christian book store and picking out a devotional book that interested him. It was a great suggestion and has been a big help for him with his bible studies.

I look forward to getting to know ladies who share faith and PCOS.

I am so glad to find this thread. It is nice to know that other people are putting their problems in God's hands.

I have been a Christian since age 9. Been through a bad experience at my childhood church, but now have found my church home. I agree with the above post...that first time walking through the door was like coming home! I will pray for the others above to find that same church home. You really need that support and encouragement from a local place of worship.

I am currently doing Nutrisystem so that I can loose some weight and hopefully get pregnant with #2. Just started last week so be praying!!!!

God Bless!

Asparx best of luck to you with the Nutrisystem.

I'm currently just really monitoring what I put in my body. I've cut out all sodas diet or otherwise, limiting my tea, and drinking at least 4 bottles of water a day. I'm also having a lean cuisine meal for lunch and one for dinner. If I feel the need to snack, I try to do fresh fruit or veggies or low fat yogurt. Breakfast is a bowl of cereal or oatmeal. I hate dieting and thankfully this doesn't feel like a diet so I know I can make these healthy choices more permanent.

Now if only I could get more active. It's so hard with my herniated disks in my lower back though. I mean I will be almost in tears after going grocery shopping at Wal-Mart. It's better than before, I can get through an entire trip without having to stop and sit down. But once I get to the car, I'm shaking because my back is hurting so bad. Hubby and I are moving to the country beginning of July and are planning on getting a pool. Seems that's the only exercise I can do that 1. doesn't feel like exercise and 2. doesn't cause pain.

Well hopefully next week I'll be starting my second round of Clomid. BFN this morning and still no AF. I'm not 100% sure I O'd this month....doc just told me to BD on certain days and so we did. I've started charting as of this morning my BBT so next round maybe I'll have a better idea of whether the Clomid is working and if I'm actually O'ing.

Anyway, enough of my whining. Prayers & Baby Dust to all the ladies out there TTC.

Hello girls,
A long time ago I was familiar with some of you. Lately "Rebecca's Mom" has been weighing on my mind and I was hoping to send her an email or a PM. However, it appears that she has not logged on for many months. Would anyone be willing to PM me and let me know how she is doing? I would be so grateful...

Thanks and blessings to you all!

I think I may have posted here a long time ago, or lurked.
I am Jenny, married to Carl for 11 years, together for 17.
We have CJ, 10, this weekend. Emily who is 2, and Ozzie our new 5 wk old cat.
There is a ton going on right now that I just need support on. I can't get into it right now, as I need to finish dinner and we need to get on the road to Church for softball.

TTYL!

Hi my name is Lite and yes that is my real name. I have been married for 8 years but together for 10. I am new to soulcysters and the thread. I have been a born again since the age of 8 years. I had loving foster parents that I know without a doubt that God put me in their home since I was 6 years old. I have had a strong walk with God since I would say junior high. I was a sweet and good girl that tryed very hard to please my parents. Anyways, along the way I met my husband who was not a christian at the time but in fact an athiest. I told him that I would not marry him if he did not eccept Jesus into his heart. We were living together for about 6 months and all a long I felt God tug at my heart that I needed to leave him in order for God to work on his heart. So finally I did for about three months I stayed away. He came to know Jesus and a year later we were married. After a year of being married we tryed to get pregnant with no success. So they sent me to a fertility specialist. Tried for a few more years with no success. Then in 2006 we tryed IVF and got pregnant on the first try. About 6 wks into the pregnancy I misscarried. Tryed again the following year with my 7 frozen embryos but none of them servived the unthawing process. So we tryed IUI in 2008. On the second treatment we had success, but found out that the embryo stop growing at 5 1/2 wks. I had a missed abortion. So now I am just taking a break and waiting on God. This last time was not only hard on me but it was really hard on my husband. So if you could keep us in your prayers. Thanks.

Lite, WOW! I am so sorry to hear what all you and your husband have gone through. Stay strong in the faith. Always remember God has a plan for you.
Keep us up to date!
In my prayers.
