My Mood: Points: 765.67 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 765.67 | Hi there,
I am doing a program called Suddenly Slim. I will share details soon. I am getting ready to go to the oral surgeon to possibly have 3 teeth pulled. I am petty stressed about this.
About me.... I am a mom of Katie Beth who is 6 and entering first grade. I teach first grade for a Charter School in inner city Dallas. I also have a Life Coaching Business where I coach clients in the evenings. And my husband and I have a Chocolate Fountain Rental business. I have a pretty great life I just desire to be thinner and have more children.
I look forward to getting to know you all.
Quick question. How important is the Metformin? It gives me diarhea so I can not take it during the school year. BTW I am planning to add apple vinegar to my regimin. I already take Ambertose, Plus, a multivitamin, and Juice Plus. I would value your opinions.
Warmly,
Deana

metformin is important after a while your body gets use to it and the diarea tapers off.

I take a liquid form of Met called Fortamet --the side effects are much better with this one. I'm like you, I was not wanting to take the pills because I couldn't afford to be having emergency code browns considering the kind of work I was doing. But if you're off school now, it would be a great time to start.
From what I understand, the metformin helps the body utilize the insulin better --stabilizes blood sugar. I'm sure Kat has a great explanation in one of the other forums.
For some people it really helps them lose weight. Connie, who is on this thread has lost I think like 40 pounds with met alone! (correct me if I'm wrong, Connie, my favorite Sasketchewonian!! ---I think I have the correct province!)
I just took a 45 minute walk this morning. It's made me feel better.
Oh, yeah, Deanna, I've taken the Mannatech products. I love Plus! Talk about energy! I'm trying to remember to take the ambrotose powder Which multivitamin of theirs do you take? |

My Mood: Points: 765.67 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 765.67 | Hello again,
I will add the metformin and pray the symptoms go away quickly.
The program I am doing is a 10 week program. It asks that you drink a mixture of 1 part not from concentrate OJ with water. You drink this to keep your blood sugar level. Then you only eat when your hunger is at a level 3 on a scale from 1 to 4. You then eat a meal with no sugar and 20 % protein. You eat for 10 minutes chewing each bite very slowly. You pause for 5 minutes to let your stomach register in with your head. Then if you are still hungry you have 10 more minutes to eat. You keep a record of your food choices and your mood as you eat. These are monitored and you get feedback. It is a 10 week program so I will share as I learn.
Looks like my 4th of July will be sedated. I am having 3 teeth pulled on Thursday. I would really appreciate your prayers. And you can pray for my husband Brad as he will be the major caretaker for me and our daughter.
I am truly grateful to find you. It is hard to explain PCOS to my friends and I have struggled alone for too long. I appreciate your support.
warmly,
Deana

My Mood: Points: 765.67 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 765.67 | I appreciate the warm welcome. I use a multi vitamin from my health food store. Have you tried Sport? My docter says it is great for inflammation. I am thinking about trying it.
I hope to have more energy after I get these 2 majorly infected teeth out. I had planned to work out this summer but have felt so poorly that it just has not happened.
Thanks for the connection.

welcome deana - praying for your requests.
Sorry gals, I am just too tuckered to post to everyone
but just thought to ask you all for prayer. Dave left early for the gym tonihgt and whiel putting the kids to bed, I hurt my stomach gettting out of the bed with Isaiah and I had to let myself fall back onto the bed, Joshua was following didnt realize it and when I let myself fall Joshua and Isaiah's heads hit so hard. Isaiah didnt even eake up even when I layed him down. He seems okay, breathing okay.
Just upset with Dave, I had my surgery a week ago and he leaves me early to go to the gym for 2 hours before work. so I put the kids to bed alone so he can keep up his looks.
I am actually getting the shaft. i had my surgery one week ago and I just realized tonihght I am solely taking care of the boys. No wonder I was hurting so bad today. I had to have the owner of the resturant help me carry myself diaper bag in the resturant and out!
It was just too painful carrying Isaiah and diaper bag.
So, I have the kids alone all day and after 7 pm (Dave sleeps til 4:30-5PM)
and all night long (sleep time) He gets up to eat and then right before bed time leaves early so he can go to the gym for 2 hours before work, while I am recooperating. I told him tonight I cant do it. I told him I was getting shafted
And Joshua is hainvg a hard time with him adn nights. - Long story on that one will share later, I am really tired and blabbing due to my sleepiness, I took my strong pain pill tonight and its setting in so I am not making much snese! Man, I hope I am making sense!
LOL
