You have asked a very good question. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. Faith is knowing that God has a plan for your life and and doesn't include defeat.

I believe that God has a plan for my life. I believe that it includes children in my home. I do not know when or how it will happen. I believe that God will bless me and provide for me. As far as my faith - my first love must be God. He has provided me with everything that I need. His grace is sufficient. I have had three miscarriages (one when I wasn't married) and God has given me the comfort and peace of mind each time. My friends who do not know Christ see this strength and faith and know that it is because of the Almighty Father. Maybe this is why I suffer - to be a witness. I don't know. But I do know that you first must store your treasures in heaven and right now that is what I am focusing on.
God bless you with the faith and strength to get through these times of trial and suffering and pain. May the Holy Spirit be your Comforter.
I find myself asking this question also. I have tried to give my life and hert to God since I was a young teenager. I lost so many friendships due to holding onto my ''beliefs'' rather than the drinking and having sex prior to marriage. Now I see those same people settled with famlies and children. When I see people I know had abortions be blessed with a child I find myself wondering what I did so wrong. It is to the point I want to sit in the floor and just cry when I have to walk by the baby depeartment and scream why. Just wanted to let you know your not alone.

faith doesn't include defeat? And yet we're told we'll have trials right? I understand our lives shouldn't be easier than Jesus had it.........and I don't want easy.......but I do feel like I want another child............and yet, time and time again, it's not happening. I've prayed for peace, haven't gotten it. Prayed for a child, haven't gotten it...and no offense but I do get tired of the pat answers.........In His Time, if it's meant to be, it will happen, etc.....
We all say them, but I am not so sure I believe it anymore.......I just feel like I've done something wrong, or maybe I"m truly not a Christian, or recognized by God...

I'm working very hard on living a life that will allow me to be joyful about whatever God has in store for me. Graceanna was a miracle and a baby born of prayer, that's for sure. And, I want another SO very much. But, I am praying hard to see that if God wants me to have another baby that I will and if he feels it best that I do not, then only good things can be in store for that path of life as well. His will and my will are two different things. I want very much to be able to submit my will to His.

accepting is very hard. and its hard not to question why. i think that testing our faith is a trial, and it usually brings us closer to God. but i've only realized that with time.
how do i keep faith? friends help. i take walks. i just keep going until the next day, the next month when i know af will come. its sad and redundant, but i try to remember that this is what my soul needs to experience in order for it to evolve and get closer to God.

April, I am so sorry that you are in pain right now. I believe that you are a Christian, that your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life. I believe that God recognizes you and sees your sorrow and your pain. I don't know why you are going through this time. Our will is not always His will. Please keep your faith that God will provide all your needs. Granted its not always your wants, Mathew 6: 25 "So I tell you, don't worry about everyday life-whether you have enough food, drink, and clothes. Doesn't life consist of more than food and clothing? 26 Look at the birds. They don't need to plant or harvest or put food in barns because your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than they are. 27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Of course not.
28 "And why worry about your clothes? Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing, 29 yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 30 And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won't he more surely care for you? You have so little faith!

Thank you Laural. I'm doing better with this right now, but I think that's because so much other stuff is going on - my mind's been displaced!
I think DH and I have figutred out that as we become more involved in our church, we're either A-becoming more of a threat, so Satan's hitting us harder than normal, and/or B-God's testing us to see how we deal with trials...whether we lean on Him or try to flounder on our own.
You wouldn't believe it all if I told you what all is going on right now...sheesh
