Amanda (27) mom to Cooper (born April 2006) Dx: May 2005 after many months of trying and not getting any results. 1st round of clomid:50mg no ovulation, second round: 100mg BFP....my sweet baby boy
I've just posted on another thread about this. I was just saying that I've been saving since january with Parks and come November I'll have £500 to spend on stuff - hopefully, like last year there'll be enough left over for us to treat ourselves
Of course.... you see Christmas signals winter, and I love winter... dark nights, snow, rain, ice, wind..... most people get SAD - I get that in summer!!!!!!!! LOL

I don't believe i'll bother with much christmas shopping... being as i'll be in hospital having a baby about then... hell.. it might make a better christmas than most of the one's i've had in the past 7 years... I find december an increadibly depressing time of year... it reminds me of just how fragmented my family is... being so far from home with only my mother and her new partner's family for company. This year i'm supposedly spending it with my man's family... that'll be... interesting. Christmas with people you barely know always is... and seldom is it much fun. yeah.. i'm a grinch I know... But I hate christmas. I always have a little cry thinking about all the things my parents dragged me away from all those years ago when they arbitrarily decided to move to england.

I called into Costco the other day and couldn't believe that they had Christmas stuff in already.
I thought i'd be really organised this year and started getting little bits in the January sales, but now I can't remember what I've got who
This Christmas is going to be an unknown, it may be the first Christmas in 18yrs that I won't be working as I'm being made redundant in October

I dislike Christmas, don't celebrate anything to do with what is actually meant to be about, or supposidly meant to be! Refuse to send cards and that sort of thing, just pretty pointless to me.
I like the family time but as mentioned previously, it reminds me of family that aren't around
Probably won't do any Christmas shopping as, like Purple?Monkfish, I'll be hospital a couple of weeks before and there is much more important stuff to save for or sort out

I've started, ELC had a half price sale so I got loads for friends kids at a fraction of the normal price. I love Christmas, I'm a hypocrite as I'm not Christian, but I love all the fuss and tradition around it. But we make it special with snowy footprints and little extras so it's magical for Anna. It will be fun this year with two of them!
I too have lost many family members in the last few years (it's down my dh and my Mum now, from having been one of three siblings with both parents), so it can be a hard time remembering who isn't there, but I also want it always to be a magical time for the children, so often kids are too savvy these days and don't have much magic in their lives. So yes, I'm the mug that buys all the christmas tat I don't need and has everyone round at ours for a party for the kids.
Mind you I'm the same at Hallowe'en, Easter and birthdays.
