Default Chromium/Carbs/Depression

I found this article at webmd.com and thought I'd share. I have a personal testimony that chromium DOES cut carbs. I've been taking a supplement of chromium along with a daily vitamin and metformin. I believe that the chromium has drastically cut my craving for carbs. I was a total carb junky and now I find myself turning up my nose.

Default appropriate dosage

I don't know what the appropriate dosage is...it seems to vary depending on which "expert" you're asking. I take The One A Day Weight Smart multivitamin and the dosage of chromium picolinate is 200 mcg (micrograms). It lists that dosage as being 167% of recommended daily value.
I have noticed that after a month of using it, it has drastically cut my carb craving. Prior to taking it, I would eat breads like there was no tomorrow. Now it really doesn't interest me...take it or leave it kind of attitude.
I don't weigh myself, but I've noticed with the vitamin and the metformin, something good is happening to my body.
Hope this was helpful.
