Any Church of Christ ladies out there?? I was raised Catholic but was baptised "again" and joined the Church of Christ. My DH is COC and went to Lipscomb University in TN.

Both DH and I were raised in the Church of Christ. My Daddy was/is a Minister and DH is a Youth Minister.
I know Tigamoo is also a member of the Church of Christ and I know one other girl from Arkansas is as well, but I can't quite think of her name right now.
By the way, I LOVE your Siggy! We are quite big Star Wars fans ourself. Our Dogs and Yoda and Chewie, and "Oda" was Lainey's 4th word. She now calls him Doda.

My Dh "got to" pick out the outfits & themes for the 6 mont pic (Star Wars) and the 9 month pic (Univ of Michigan) It was our little agreement... I become more of a fan of both each day...
Thank goodness it is almost college football time!!!!
Your daughter is adorable! Great outfit! Love the shoes!

Thanks! My Mom got her outfit in China Town, I just love it!
We did Lainey's 18 month pictures in Oklahoma University clothes and another outfit, we are big fans as well. We live too far away to go to any games right now, but I wish that we could.
I've actually been looking for a Princess Leia costume for Lainey. I've found some on Ebay, but I haven't gotten anything yet. Our ring bearer and flower girl (brother and sister) had Star Wars costumes, and we had lots of fun doing scenes from the movies.

We had Leia and Han as our wedding toppers and played Star Wars music as we walked down the aisle after being married.
We meet at a movie theatre and our whole wedding had movie music. DH got in as much Star Wars as humanly possible. He would love the ring bearer, flower girl idea.
I ordered a princess lei outfit for Tiana and I try to find the site again and send it your way.

Oh, our ring bearer & flower girl didn't wear the costumes at our wedding, just at their house (DH and I met through them, he babysat the kids when they lived in Oklahoma, then I baby sat them when they moved to Illinois, we met when he came for a visit).
But, one of my friends did have all the Groomsmen in pure white tux outfits and they walked down the isle to the Imperial March.
Our Living Room has a Movie Theme with Posters, Lithographs and stuff like that. Before Lainey was born we had the "Star Wars Room", that was DH's room, and our Guest room was the "Wizard of Oz" room. Both of them are now combined into one.
It's amazing how childish us grown-ups can be sometimes, isn't it??
I haven't looks at those sites, but I will have to.
Where did you and your DH grow up and meet at (since he went to Lipscomb and you guys live in Michigan).

Hmm...I've never heard of it referred to as that. Around here (Central Texas) all of the Spanish speaking Churches of Christ are called Iglesia De Cristo. Those are very similar though, so they might be the same thing.

As for Dh and I. We meet when we were both 17. He grew up in MI his entire life. My Dad was in the Coast Guard so I have lived all over the place... I was in MI for junior high and high school. So we were working at the local movie theatre and became freinds. His parents would only pay for a COC University so he picked Lipscomb in Nashville, TN. After trying Central Mich Univ for a semester I left and moved down to Nashville. I treid LU but that was not for me either. One extreme to the next. We have moved back and forth from Nashville to Michigan 3 times now. We know we will not stay in MI but we are not sure where we are going next. DH is an assistant manger for a movie theatre company and is awaiting a GM spot. Or we could end up anywhwere... So we meet at 17, married at 20 and here we are 7 years later. I had 2 ovarian cyst removal surgeries and we tried to get pregnant for 3 years. Then our miracle arrived when we were not even trying. I had given up. Ironically the weekend I got pregnant was when we moved back to MI for me to return to college!!
We currently have a Star Wars office and Dh has his own living room filled with movie posters. The basement is "man land" and the upstairs is all girly. Also we have a U of Michigan hallway and bathroom.. also in the basement.
As for Michigan games. We go to usually one a year. We live in West Michigan and it is about 3 hours to Ann Arbor to the stadium. We had a chance to purchase tickets this year but were low on money. We make 1/2 of what we used to now that I am a SAHM.
Oddly my parents both went to Notre Dame!!! One of Tiana's Grandma's is an Ohio State Buckeye.
DH insist that he will never grow up. He loves being a "kid." But that also helps to make him an awesome Dad. It is good and bad...

I'm a member of the Church of Christ! (as mentioned by soonermomma03) My DH is too. He is Tiggasguy on here. I was raised in the church of Christ but DH wasn't. We were both baptized on the same evening in 2003. I attend a congregation with about 500 or so members. I love to meet sister cysters!

Both DH and I grew up C of C (me in NC and him in CO). We both attended Abilene Christian University. That's how we met. We say we met halfway. LOL We still attend C of C but for awhile attended a Bible Fellowship Church. DH was a youth minister for awhile when we lived in KY and we attended Kentucky Christian College. The majority of the C of C's out there are instrumental ones. That was definately different. I personally prefer non-instrumental simply because I love hearing everyone singing acappela. Well, anyone else? Surely there are more out there.

ME....I am the one from Arkansas! DH and I both grew up Church of Christ, but he was not active in the church for MANY years before we met. We go to a church of about 600 and have a wonderful young married group. I think there are something like 20 couples in their 20's and early 30's. When we first got married, we had a hard time finding a church and it really hurt our marriage. I am happy to say that everything is great now!
