It appears Dh and I have found 2 churches to choose from. 151st or Bonner Springs both in the Kansas area. Both are conservative and I think a great fit for us. We hope to pick one of the 2 this month.
My family is doing well. Dh is enjoying his theatre job and I am enjoying being a SAHM. I might be watching Tiana's 2nd cousin Allyson starting very soon. We are in the mist of plans with her parents. Allyson is 4 months old. Born 9-26-05 and is just adorable. It would be great to make some money and still be able to stay home. Allsyon has been in daycare and has already gotten sick a few too many times that the parents are thinking about our offer to watch her. Plus it would help us see what it is like to have 2 babies!
I go to my very first visit with a psychiatrist this week. I have depression and OCD issues to work through.
I hope that everyone is doing well. If you have not been here in awhile please update us.

Hi ladies...may I join your thread? I'm COC in Missouri I can't believe I haven't found this thread until now. What a great idea.
Tianasmom - I just want to say your daughter has a gorgeous name. Where did you find it? If we ever have a little girl, we're going to name her Tiana Elaine (Dh's family has a t-name thing and my great-grandmother's name is Elaine). We couldn't ever find Tiana in a baby name book. DH found it in the Myst novels. I always like Tatiana and he hated it, so when he found Tiana in the book he was like, "compromise?" LOL. We're going to call her Tia if we're ever that lucky

We loved the name Tiana. We got it from Tatiana but didn't want to go too Russian so we went with Tiana. Plus it means PRINCESS and DH LOVES Star Wars and would have loved to use any sort of Star Wars like name. It is very pretty and we always get a lot of positive feed back on how pretty it is. It really fits our daughter well.

Alright my Alabama COC cysters. I need some help. We're moving to Huntsville this spring/summer. Anybody from that area or know of good COC there? I've found a few online that I'm interested in visiting once we get there, but it would be good to have a recommendation from my cysters
I think I should add that DH and I are a little more liberal than most. We prefer praise teams (but NO instruments!) and we don't mind raising hands, kneeling, women speaking (not preaching), etc.
Just last month had the COC sister's help me out with COC's in the KC area. We just moved here from Michigan in November. We are on the more conservative side and very few in KC actually are conservative. However we think we may have found one to attend regularly. Good Luck?

Karen - Where did you live in Michigan? I grew up in Muskegon. I'm glad you've found a church. It's so hard to find a place where you feel like you can truly worship sometimes. I know it's been hard for us since moving to Missouri from Tennessee two years ago. We had a great church in Memphis and they just don't exist up here yet

Pixiegirl-Try photobucket.com to help with your pictures. As for COC's in AL, the only one I've attended in the Huntsville area is Hobbs St. COC in Athens. I have family that attend there. I wouldn't describe it as what you say you are looking for. There is a book that lists all the COC's in the US and a short description about the ministries, worship preferences, etc. I don't know where to get one of those books though.
Wish me luck...I'm job hunting and have some interviews this week! I hope something works out soon.

Tigg - Thanks for the welcome and the info. Good luck on your interviews! Finding a new job is always nerve-wracking...at least it was for me I have access to one of those books so I probably should go look in it soon. I've just done a small search online and there are actually quite a few churches in the area with websites. Makes life a little easier. lol
We're having a realtor come this afternoon to look at our house and discuss the market, what the house is worth, etc. I've never done this before so I'm a little nervous. I don't think we're going to list it until we've got a better idea of when they want DH down there, but we also want to get a jump on things if they say sooner rather than later, kwim?

Hi there! Maybe I can help with the pictures. Go to photobucket.com and set up an account. It is free. Then I copy and paste the thumbnail pics onto my signature. You can open the picture and then paste it but sometimes they are HUGE or super small. You can change the size of the pictures as well. I find it is easier just to use the picture from the thumbnail on my main page of photobucket. HTH Karen
