HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! How is everyone doing? We are doing well here in Kansas. Dh is busy at the theatre and actually is needing to get a 2nd job. (the pay with the promotion is not enough ) I am "content" being a SAHM but have been getting a little stir crazy lately. I am trying to get out of the house, and walk, at least once a day. Tiana is walking already and learning new words all the time. Time sure does fly. We are continuing our church shopping and hope to find one we like soon. Dh's schedule has made it tricky to test one out each week. Karen

Praying4Baby - I haven't gotten the chance to say congrats on your BFP! I hope you have a healthy 9 months. Try not to stress too much!
Mlinn-Where in Arkansas are you from? I definitely think that life is so much easier having your significant other have the same beliefs. It is hard when you want this so much, but you don't want to "push" it on him. You are in my prayers.
Karen-I am sorry to hear that your DH might have to get a second job. I hope you guys find a church home soon. That will be one less thing to stress about!
Mlinn-I was raised Catholic and was Catholic for about 20 of my 28 years. It takes a long time but maybe he will come to enjoy COC. I found it just made so much more sense to me. IMO Being Catholic is more about tradtion and less about religion. However the majoirty of my family is still Catholic and I have to explain A LOT... "Why Tiana is not getting baptised", etc. etc. I also say it is a lot easier when the couple have the same religion. Even DH and I still go head to head sometimes on a variety of issues with the church.

Hello everyone, not much knew going on, just making bracelets all of the time. I am now a fulltime SAHM, thankfully! I'm so happy, and hopefully, I will be able to concentrate more on the jewelry.

Steph- I have a question for you. My mom was talking to me about a women in her church that has the same problem as I do. Mom said that woman is now pg. She goes to Highpointe Church of Christ in McKinnney. Do you go there?
I have been having some mental issues lately. Mostly a bad case of depression. With the help of my Mom and Dh I have decided to seek help. I called a psychiatrist today. I left a message. I think adjusting my anti-depressants should do the trick.
Please say a little prayer for us.
Karen

Karen-Prayers for you. I hope you get the help you need to feel better soon. It takes a strong person to admit when help is needed. You've been through a lot of changes lately with the move and that can be hard on a person. Please know that you have cysters here who care and supportive. ((HUGS))

Dh and I tried out another new COC today here in KC. It was super modern and IMO not COC even though it had COC on the sign outside. We left early. The people were very friendly and they even had a coffee bar!!! but it wasn't for us. We are going to go back to the first one we went to. 151st in Olathe. It is very conservative and fits us a lot better. Dh was sooooo uncomfortable today and he is going to e-mail the preacher about the practices of his church and WHY they do what the do....
Overall I am happy the church hunt is over! yippee.

Karen- You continue to be in my prayers. I hope this dr. is able to give you the help you need. I agree, it takes a lot of courage to say you need help! What an all-important first step! I'm glad you have decided on a church home! I hope you LOVE 151st!
