It has been a busy month. COC is in the news A LOT with the Mary Winkler case. I am so sad for that woman, her children, her late husband, etc. etc. However, I am also fascinated with the news and hope to hear "why" she killed him. Not that it will make it any better. Murder is Murder. Mary Winkler comes accross to me as someone I would sit next to at church. It hits too close to home.

How is everyone? Things are going well here in KC. The weather is warming up. I had to turn the a/c on for the first time last night. YEAH. I hate being too hot. Tiana is growing a ton. Walking about 7 steps on her own now. Allyson is also growing up and turning into a little girl more and more and less of an infant. I just love taking care of her. My "little ladies." Dh is doing well at the theatre. He is going to look into getting his teaching certificate so when the kids are in school he can switch careers. Right now it is wonderful to have him home most days. He works mostly at night. However, when the kids are older they will only get to see him at night, since they will be in school. It is a great solution and I pray that he follows through with it in time. We have started the house hunting procedures. We hope to buy our first house by the end of the year. We have moved 10+ times in our marriage and I am delighted to think KC is home, for good. Thank you LORD!!! All in all life is good. I am doing well. Very happy to see and feel the warm sun again. Everything seems better when the sun is out. Take Care
Karen

Karen, thanks for starting the April thread. Things are going ok in MS. I've left one job and plan to start another one next week. It's full time and better pay. It'll be at Home Depot. I'll be working on the sales floor in either appliances or garden center...don't know which one yet. As for the whole Winkler situation, Selmer isn't all that far from where DH and I live. DH has had to cover this case since he's a reporter for a local daily paper. My heart goes out to the family, the 4th St. COC, the girls, and Mary too.

Hi, Ladies... Long time no post! Just wanted to say hello. Still TTC#1... We just found ou DH is going to Iraq in July. :-( He won't be back until November 07. I'm sooooo upset about it. I just scared to death & the tears start up every time I think about it. I don't know what I'm gonna do without him for over a year!

I am so sorry to hear that your Dh has to go to Iraq.
We have a close friend there right now, Paul. His wife is in FL and they are adopting a baby boy in July. He should come back to the US in Sept. but it keeps being pushed back. He sends us e-mail updates and sometimes they are very hard to read. ((hugs))

Hello ladies! I keep forgetting to look for the new thread at the beginning of the month. Sorry! Well, we had our level 2 u/s last week and we're not 100% sure but the doctor "thinks" he saw a boy part. The baby was VERY uncooperative. He was wiggling and crossed his legs. So I'll be getting another u/s around 25 weeks or so. It was great to see the baby so active though. At one point on the 3D U/S it looked like he was laughing at us. It was hilarous! I can't believe that Sunday marks the 20 week mark! I'm halfway there! I never thought I'd make it this far.
dragnfy - I'm so sorry to hear your DH will be gone to Iraq. My DH was gone for a year last year (got back in Sept). It's one of the hardest things to go through but you will survive. The hardest part for me was that other than 2 cousins that I never see and an Aunt a few hours away most of my family is in N & S Carolina. So I took a 3 week road trip at Christmas which really helped during the holidays. I also ended up having to have surgery while he was gone but one of my Aunts came and stayed with me for about a week. Don't hesitate to ask your family and close friends for support while he's gone. My DH is also reserves normally, what branch is your DH and is he full time active duty? It helps to be near a base. Our base is over a hour away which really stunk. Again I'm sorry he's having to go. I still remember the sadness when DH left. Take care and enjoy your DH while he's still here. (((HUGS)))
Karen - I had to laugh when you said you finally turned the A/C on and the weather was warming up. It's already been the 90's down here! We've had the A/C going for months I think. Ohhhh, how I miss 70 degrees!

Jill-I'm sorry your DH will be gone to Iraq soon. My brother served in Iraq for a year. I know we all worried and prayed that he would be coming home safely. I'm so thankful he's back in the US and I'm so proud of him. I'll keep you and your DH in my prayers. ((HUGS))
Praying for baby-I'm so glad to hear things are going well with your pregnancy. Bellyrubs for your little one!
All others...((HUGS))
Doing ok here. I'm trying to get the hang of a new job.

Thanks y'all! I'm trying not to worry too much but it's hard... Hearing about the lives lost on the radio & news these days... I don't know, before I was like "awww... Oh no, poor family & normal reaction to all the mess, but now it tears me up!
I'm getting him a lap top for his b-day, so he can maybe keep in touch more...
TY Karen for my gift of PEACE!
Thanks again for the encouragement!
Jill

Well, there has been a lot going on in my life, and I hate to say that most of it isn't good. I can't really talk about things right now, but my parents and my little sisters need a lot of prayers.
DH, Lainey and I are doing pretty good though. Some of the trouble makers at church are tring to find new ways to make more trouble, which is getting so old!
And Lainey and I are leaving Monday to go to Searcy, AR. My Brother and SIL live there, and my parents, younger sister and Grandparents are all there right now, we haven't seen any of them since Thanksgiving, so I it will be really good to see them. I'm going to make the trip up there in one day, it is 9 hours though...so I really hoping and praying that Lainey does well and will be happy watching DVD's the whole way. So I won't be on at all from Monday to probably Friday.
Praying for a baby--19 weeks, I can't believe it! Kind of makes me teary to think about your DH being in Iraq, and all of us praing that you guys would become pregnant. I'm so glad your prayers were answered!
Karen, I love the new family picture! That is so heartbreaking about your friends trying to adopt. I that they get the baby soon!
Jill, I will be for you and your DH as well. A friend of ours is also supposed to be deployed to Iraq in September, he is stationed at Ft. Hood (about 30 min. from us). He and his wife moved here around Thanksgiving, and their families are all in Tennessee. I know that she has considered asking a girl in the Youth Ministry who is graduating soon to move in with her for that year so that she won't have to be alone. I wish I had a bigger house, I'd let her move in with us. that God will keep him safe. HUGS!!

Our friends are indeed still adopting the baby boy, just the Dad will still be in Iraq when the baby arrives. It is a family friend that is pregnant and unable to care for the child. They also have had fertility issues.
Thinking of you as you travel!

I know I havent been on this thread that much...but I am a member here in Birmingham, AL.....and I have added it to one of my subscriptions.
Just checking in to see how everyones doing. We are fine...Michael has a new job and doing really good with it. Payton and Camryn are getting so big and so BUSY!
We are trying for another baby, not this month, but next..and that month only.
It is a deal that me and Michael set up..since he doesnt really want to have another one right now. I on the other had would like to have only 3..he wants Payton and Cam..then wait 4-5 years then have another set.
I DONT THINK SO!
I would like only 3...and to have them close in age so that they can grow up together....so we can get out of the BABY phase once and for all and not have to revisit that. I dont want to have Payton and Camryn in T-ball or something and have a wee-baby too.
I dont know..it maybe silly..but I just want to have them and get on with the growning up phase...anyone feel what I am saying?
Especially since if we have them like that...they will all be out of the house by the time we are 45. Which sounds great to me!
I hope I am not sounding selfish or like I am bothered my own children.....but this is what I would like.
I tried putting it off..and agreed with him for the past 8mths...and kept having to tell myself and other people I do not want anymore children now Payton and Camryn is it for right now.
But I was lieing through my teeth. I even tried losing weight in that time...but still couldnt totally devote myself to that because I was checking every month to see if MAYBE I was PG. I wouldnt even excercise or diet past my O' day.
Yes...I tried not thinking about it..but this is where my heart is..and this is what I would like to do.
So our compromise was...I would try next month and then if no baby..then take a 4mth break..get back into trying to lose weight (because I need to)...and then another month of trying etc.
So hopefully this month and next will be it...
So pray for us!
Michael may act like he doesnt want anymore children right now..but he know he does. Especially since he has NOT been demanding an use of condoms since this cycle started.
He didnt want to start this month..because he has alot going on at work..and he didnt want to have any distractions or worries about my falling pregnant or not.
Okay...I have rambled long enough...
So that is the lastes scoop of what is partly going on in my crazy life.
I need to remember that my whole life and being is in God's control..so we can plan all we want..
But if it is not his will..then we might aswell hang up all that mapping and planning that we have going on.
We will see!

I totally understand. Dh and I have changed our minds so many times on when we are going to start TTC #2. Right now it is for March 2007. We should be in our house and settled by then. We hope to buy our first house around Christmas time.
Also, we need to pray it is a BOY so that we can be done having babies. I think we both really want 2 but are willing to TTC #3 if we have another baby girl. I LOVE LOVE LOVE girls but Dh is so hoping for a boy. I suspect we will have 3 girls or maybe 4 girls and call it good.
I too am not into losing weight right now. I need too but when I know we are going to try to have another baby I just can't get all excited about it. When we are done having children I will care more about how my body looks. Why work so hard now just to see it get BIG again?!
As you said, it is all in God's control. Something I have to remind myself of all the time!
