Life seems to be going well. My Mom flies in tomorrow from Michigan. It is beautiful weather here and I can't wait to spend the next 4 days with her. She will be staying at our townhouse. Wednesday she is watching Tiana so Dh and I can have a date night. YEAH
I am still struggling with my in-laws and sister-in-law & her family. It has come down to DH is the only one communicating with them. I do e-mail pictures of Tiana but that is all. We can't seem to understand each other on any level or any topic.
Church is going very well. I have attended the last 4 weeks. It is a little complicated with Tiana and her not being able to sit still but DH and I are taking turns in the nursery with her. We do not leave her alone in there. Way too over protective and also she is shy. Plus it is fun to hang out with her and other kids.
Dh just got a raise and a great review!!! YEAH
I am busy at home with Allyson and Tiana. I now feel someday we can have another one but we are not sure when we will TTC #2. But at least I know I can handle 2 when the day comes. Also, if Tiana is an only child I am totally ok with that. Dh is another story... he is looking for a son... I suspect that means we will have a few more daughters!
Overall life is good. Weather in KC is awesome. Warm and Sunny.
How is everyone else doing?

Yay! I'm so glad I found the new thread! I'd doing ok. I started a new job this week. I'm a sales associate at Hallmark. I've never done retail so I'm learning something new all the time. It's definitely not social work. I'm ready to do something besides social work. It's thankless work and I end up taking it home with me emotionally. At least I can leave work at work with the new job.
Karen-It sounds like you are a busy sister cyster! I'm glad you are settling into Kansas and life there. I hope things continue to go well. ((HUGS))
Where are all the other sister cysters and misters? Check in when you can!

Update on our Church-for now, we are not going to have Elders. 12 names were submitted, some of those men said they wouldn't serve as Elders, some didn't have enough votes. Of the 12, 4 were interviewed, 2 were disqualified because of scriptural reasons, which only left 2, and neither of those men will serve unless there are 3. So, for now, this is a big huge praise to God.
Things are going well for us, our computer and digital camera broke within a few days of each other. The Computer is over 6 years old, it was time for it to go anyway. But, I need both of them for my jewelry website, so we got a new computer and digital camera all in one day. Merry Christmas to us I think.
I hope everyone is doing well! Hugs to all!

Hi! My Mom is here and things are going great. It is such great weather, warm and sunny.
Please pray for our friends Paul and Sheri. They live in Florida and were married in 2003. Paul was recently deployed to Iraq. He is a Navy doctor. He is scheduled to return in September.
Sarah-Congrats on the happy news at church!
Tiggamoo-Congrats on the new less stressful job!

Karen-I'll definitely add your friends to my prayers. I know what it's like to worry about a loved one in Iraq. My brother served there. Glad things are going well with you!
Sarah-Hopefully things will be calmer in the congregation without any elders for now. I grew up in a small COC that hasn't had elders in probably 30 years or more. It can work out ok.
((HUGS)) to all my COC sister cysters!!!
I stayed busy today cleaning. I've got to work tomorrow night but I'm so glad to not have such a stressful job right now!

Tiggamoo- GOOD LUCK! with the new job. I'm glad that you are getting into something that will not drain you so much.
Sarah- It can definately work with no elders. I hope that your congregation finds the way that it is meant to serve.
Karen- I'm glad to hear that your visit with your mother is going well. Sorry about the in-laws. Don't worry about not communicating with them much. If that is better for you inner peace, then take the peace and don't give it a second thought.
me- Everything is really going good. Mark and I are really starting to get involved in our congregation. God has really answered my prayers with this pregnancy. I am really beginning to feel like I get to keep this one. We find out what we are having a week from tomorrow. My prayer request is that we find out we are having a HEALTHY baby!

Good Luck and let us know! We just found out our friends in Memphis (also former LU people) are having a baby boy in July. They are so excited. It is their first baby.

Karen- I was just checking in to make sure everyone is all right after those storms that passed through. You are in my prayers. Check in when you get a chance.
Thanks for checking in! Yes we are all ok. It was horrible. LARGE hail and just a ton of tornados! We went through some when we lived in Nashville... so we are sort of used to it. It was the strangest thing to hear the sirens going off all day yesterday. Dh, Tiana and I actually went out to dinner and hit some pretty bad hail on the way back home. Tiana held on tight to her bunny and just looked out the window. (on the car ride home.) Our dog, Bella, was freaked out as well. It was a nice Welcome to Kansas... and tornado season.

It's a GIRL!!!!!!!!!! She was squirming and kicking all over the place. I have to go back in 4 weeks because they were not able to get all of the measurements they wanted. She was being stubborn and wouldn't let them get a look at the blood flow through the heart. They got most of the measurements and she looks PERFECT!!!! I also found out why I am not feeling a lot of movement. I have a high placenta and they said that would make it harder to feel movement for about another week or two.
Thank you so much for all of the well wishes. Another hurdle down!!!!
